Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya keterampilan siswa dalam mendemonstrasikan drama. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan keterampilan siswa dalam mendemonstrasikan drama sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Role Playing, serta mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran bahasa Sunda untuk meningkatan minat belajar menggunakan model Role Playing dalam pembelajaran drama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen, kepada siswa kelas IX-C SMP Kartika XIX-2 Bandung dengan menggunakan desain pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, rata-rata sebelum menggunakan model Role Playing yaitu 68,88 yang membuktian siswa belum terampil mendemonstrasikan drama. Rata-rata sesudah menggunakan model Role Playing yaitu 84,42 yang membuktikan bahwa siswa terampil medemonstrasikan drama. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistika nilai signifikan Sig (2-tailed) yaitu 0,000 atau kurang dari 0,05. Artinya memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan mendemonstrasikan drama sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Role Playing. This research is motivated by the lack of students' skills in demonstrating drama. ObjectiveThis research is motivated by the lack of students' skills in demonstrating drama. The purpose of this study was to describe students' skills in demonstrating drama before and after using the Role Playing learning model, as well as knowing the effectiveness of learning Sundanese to increase interest in learning using the Role Playing learning model in drama learning. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental method, for class IX-C students of SMP Kartika XIX-2 Bandung using pretest and posttest designs. Based on the results of this study, the average before using the Role Playing model was 68.88 which proved that students were not yet skilled at demonstrating drama. While the average after using the Role Playing model is 84.42 which proves that students are skilled at demonstrating drama. Based on the statistical test results, the significant value of Sig (2-tailed) is 0.000 or less than 0.05. This means that there is a significant difference between the skills of demonstrating drama before and after using the Role Playing model.
