Abstract
Electrical Power Installation Engineering (TITL) is an expertise competency included in the field of Technology and Engineering where the number of male students is far greater than female students. This happens because of gender stereotypes in society that the field of technology and engineering expertise is not intended for women. Gender stereotypes that develop will also affect education which will certainly have an impact on the learning process and student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine (1) the factors behind female students choosing the TITL competency, (2) the views and treatment of teachers to gender differences in the learning process in the TITL competency, (3) the interaction between teachers and students and the interaction of male students and female students based on gender in the TITL competency. This research uses a mixed method research method with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and questionnaires. The results of the research obtained are: (1) the factors that motivate female students to choose the competence of Electrical Power Installation Engineering (TITL) expertise, namely the choice of parents, motivated by people around / family and self-will, (2) the views of teachers and teacher treatment regarding gender differences in education are in the "Very Good" category in providing the same treatment to students without differentiating gender in the learning process in the TITL expertise competence, (3) interactions between teachers and students and interactions between male and female students in the TITL expertise competence are also in the "Very Good" category in establishing interactions without differentiating gender.
