Abstract

Ilmu pengetahuan Alam (IPA) merupakan suatu cabang ilmu dimana kajiannya merupakan alam serta proses yang ada didalamnya. Biologi merupakan suatu cabang Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam mengkaji konsepsi ilmiah berkenaan dengan makhluk hidup serta interaksi dengan makhluk hidup, salah satu konsep yang dikaji dalam biologi merupakan fotosintesis. Konsep fotosintesis merupakan salah satu konsep dalam bidang biologi yang memiliki tingkat kesulitan cukup tinggi dimana dalam konsep fotosintesis memiliki banyak penjelasan abstrak, sehingga peserta didik harus memiliki usaha lebih untuk benar-benar memahami konsep fotosintesis, karena konsep fotosintesis sulit maka sering terjadi miskonsepsi pada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi konsep fotosintesis serta mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab miskonsepsi pada konsep fotosintesis dan memberikan rekomendasi untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi pada konsep fotosintesis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif serta pendekatan kuantitatif dengan permodelan Rasch. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah 23 orang siswa kelas V SDN 1 kawalu. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dari tes serta wawancara. Data tes akan diolah menggunakan Rasch Model. Hasil dari penelitian ditemukan beberapa miskonsepsi, miskonsepsi paling banyak beraada pada konsep letak klorofil dalam tanaman, cahaya yang dibutuhkan dalam proses fotosintesis serta proses fotosintesis pada tanaman berdaun selain hijau. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara ditemukan beberapa penyebab miskonsepsi diantaranya pra-konsepsi yang tidak sesuai konsep, kurangnya media pembelajaran serta proses belajar yang monoton. Natural Science is a branch of knowledge in which its study encompasses nature and the processes within it. Biology is a branch of Natural Science that examines scientific concepts related to living organisms and interactions with living beings. One of the concepts studied in biology is photosynthesis. The concept of photosynthesis is one of the concepts within the field of biology that has a fairly high level of difficulty. Within the concept of photosynthesis, there are numerous abstract explanations, requiring learners to exert extra effort to truly understand the concept. Due to the complexity of the photosynthesis concept, misconceptions often arise among students. This research aims to identify misconceptions related to the concept of photosynthesis, pinpoint the factors causing misconceptions in the photosynthesis concept, and provide recommendations for addressing misconceptions in the photosynthesis concept. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, as well as a quantitative approach involving Rasch model. The subjects of the study are 23 fifth-grade students from SDN 1 Kawalu. Data collection techniques involve tests and interviews. Test data will be processed using the Rasch Model. The research results reveal several misconceptions, with the most prevalent misconceptions centered around the concept of the positioning of chlorophyll in plants, the required light for the photosynthesis process, and the photosynthesis process in non-green leafy plants. Based on the interview findings, several causes of misconceptions are identified, including pre-existing misconceptions not aligned with the concept, a lack of instructional media, and a monotonous learning process
