Abstract
Ketunanetraan pada seseorang membawa dampak yang besar, salah satu dampak kognitif tunanetra adalah pemerolehan informasi dan pengembangan konsep. Hal ini menjadi perhatian penting karena mempengaruhi perkembangan akademik siswa tunanetra. Salah satu perkembangan akademik yang terganggu yaitu kemampuan berhitung. Fakta lapangan yang ditemukan siswa-siswa di kelas V dan VI SLB Negeri A Pajajaran Kota Bandung kurang lancar dalam berhitung perkalian. Hal ini diduga metode ceramah yang digunakan guru kurang sesuai. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut peneliti tertarik melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh metode cross-line menggunakan papan stik terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berhitung perkalian pada siswa tunanetra di SLB Negeri A Pajajaran Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen berupa pre-eksmerintal dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel terdiri dari siswa kelas V dan kelas VI yang berjumlah 7 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama enam kali pertemuan dengan rincian satu pertemuan pretest, empat pertemuan perlakuan, dan satu pertemuan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berhitung perkalian siswa tunanetra. Hal ini disebabkan metode cross-line dikonkretkan menjadi papan stik sehingga menarik minat siswa tunanetra dalam mempelajari perkalian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini metode cross-line menggunakan papan stik dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif yang dapt digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung perkalian siswa tunanetra di SLB Negeri A Pajajaran Kota Bandung. Children with visual impairment have obstacles or limitations in their use of the sense of sight. Blindness in a person has a big impact, one of the cognitive effects of the blind is the acquisition of information and the development of concepts. This is an important concern because it affects the academic development of students with visual impairment. One of the disrupted academic development is the ability to count.Field facts found by students in grades V and VI SLB Negeri A Pajajaran Kota Bandung were not fluent in multiplication calculations. It is suspected that the lecture method used by the teacher is not appropriate. Based on these problems, the researcher is interested in conducting research with the aim of knowing how much influence the cross-line method using a stickboard has on increasing the multiplication arithmetic ability of blind students at SLB Negeri A Pajajaran Kota Bandung. This study used experiment method in the form or pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of students in class V and class VI, totaling 7 people. This research was conducted in six meetings with the details of one pretest meeting, four treatment meetings, and one posttest meeting. The results showed that there was an increase in the multiplication counting ability of students with visual impairment. This is because the cross-line method is concretized into a stick board so that it attracts student with visual impairment interest in learning multiplication. Based on the results of this study the cross-line method using a stick board can be an alternative that can be used to improve the multiplication numeracy skills of student with visual impairment at SLB Negeri A Pajajaran Kota Bandung.
