Abstract
Permainan tradisional congklak merupakan permainan rakyat yang sudah berkembang cukup lama di berbagai daerah Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan anak usia dini dalam memahami penjumlahan, karena penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat kemampuan penjumlahan pada anak usia dini sehingga diperlukan sebuah upaya salah satunya melalui permainan tradisional berupa congklak. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan 2 siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan subjek penelitian anak usia 5-6 tahun. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata persentase kemampuan berhitung siswa kelompok B setelah diberikan tindakan melalui permainan congklak menunjukkan pada siklus 1 rata-rata persentase sebesar 36,25% (MB) dan siklus 2 dengan rata-rata 77% (BSB). ----- The traditional game of congklak is a folk game that has developed long enough in various regions of Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to improve the ability of early childhood to understand addition because this research is motivated by the low level of addition ability in early childhood, so an effort is needed, one of which is through traditional games in the form of congklak. The method used is the Classroom Action Research method with two cycles. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation with research subjects aged 5–6 years. Based on the data obtained from the observation results, it shows that the average percentage of group B students counting ability after being given action through the congklak game shows that in cycle 1 the average percentage is 36.25% and cycle 2 with an average of 77%.
