Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya faktor psikologi pada anak dalam mendukung perkembangan mereka di masa depan, salah satunya adalah harga diri atau self-esteem. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis self-esteem pada anak usia dini dengan mempertimbangkan pola asuh permisif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Sampel penelitian untuk mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan teknik observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa self-esteem anak usia dini yang ditinjau dari pola asuh permisif terbilang kurang baik atau masuk kepada self-esteem dengan karakteristik yang negatif. self-esteem anak yang kurang baik tercermin dari komponen self-esteem pada diri anak yaitu, perasaan diterima, perasaan mampu dan perasaan berharga. Selain itu, peran orang tua dalam menumbuhkan self-esteem anak tercermin melalui 4 upaya yang dilakukan yaitu penerimaan,kehangatan, penghargaan dan memberi dukungan emosional terhadap anak. Kata kunci : Anak usia dini, self-esteem, pola asuh orang tua, permisi ------- This research is motivated by the importance of psychological factors in children to support their future development, one of which is self-esteem. The aim of this study is to analyze the self-esteem of young children with consideration of permissive parenting styles. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative research design. Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The collected data is then analyzed using thematic analysis, which involves identifying, analyzing, and reporting themes or patterns that emerge RFom the acquired data.The research findings indicate that self-esteem in young children, when viewed in the context of permissive parenting styles, tends to be less favorable or characterized by negative self-esteem traits. The components of self-esteem in children, such as feelings of acceptance, competence, and self-worth, are affected by this parenting approach.
