Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa di SD/MI khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPA yang diakibatkan oleh pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru dan berjalan satu arah tanpa melibatkan siswa aktif di dalamnya sehingga pembelajaran menjadi kurang bermakna dan siswa sulit untuk memahami materi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas guru dan siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) serta mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V MIS Kebonbaru, Sumedang yang berjumlah 13 siswa. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama dua siklus, dimana pada setiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa serta tes evaluasi pemahaman konsep. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata aktivitas guru sebesar 86,36%, dan pada siklus II sebesar 95%. Pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 75,81%, dan pada siklus II sebesar 90,15%. Pada siklus I, sebanyak 8 siswa mampu mencapai KKM dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal 61,54% dan rata-rata kelas 75,82. Pada siklus II, siswa yang mencapai KKM mengalami peningkatan menjadi 13 siswa dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal 100% dan rata-rata kelas 93,40. Berdasarkan perolehan data dari hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas V MIS Kebonbaru tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan pemahaman konsep siswa. ----- This classroom action research is motivated by the low understanding of students' concepts in SD/MI, especially in science subjects, which is caused by teacher-centered learning and goes one way without actively involving students in it so that learning becomes less meaningful and students find it difficult to understand the learning material. The purpose of this study was to determine the activities of teachers and students using the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) learning model and to determine the increase in students' ability to understand science concepts through the application of the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) learning model. This research was a class action research with 13 students in class V MIS Kebonbaru, Sumedang as the subject. This research lasted for two cycles, each consisted of planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The research instruments used in this study comprises of observation sheets of teacher and student activities as well as conceptual understanding evaluation tests. The results show of the study in cycle I obtained an average teacher activity in cycle I was 86,36%, and in cycle II as much 95%. In cycle I, the average student learning activity was 75,81%, and in cycle II it was 90,15%. In cycle I, as many as 8 students were able to achieve KKM with a classical learning completeness percentage of 61,54% and a class average of 75,82. In cycle II, students who achieved KKM increased to 13 students with a classical learning completeness percentage of 100% and a class average of 93,40. Based on the data obtained from the results of this research, it can be concluded that the application of the Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectually (SAVI) learning model in science learning in class V MIS Kebonbaru for the 2022/2023 academic year can increase student activity and understanding of concepts.
