Abstract

Kegiatan pembelajaran dilakukan secara 2 arah antara guru dengan peserta didik. Peserta didik berpartisipasi aktif dalam pembelajaran sehingga pembelajaran dapat dilaksanakan dengan efektif dan dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Salah satu aspek kompetensi dalam tujuan pembelajaran yaitu pengetahuan. Pemahaman konsep menjadi salah satu kemampuan yang dapat menjadi tujuan pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran. Peserta didik dapat mengerti materi pembelajaran tidak hanya menghapal namun juga paham atas konsep yang dipelajarinya. Model cooperative learning tipe STAD salah satu model yang sangat sederhana dan mudah diterapkan dalam pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek dari penelitian ini peserta didik kelas III di salah satu sekolah dasar negeri yang ada di Purwakarta dengan total jumlah 22 orang. Nilai rata-rata yang didapatkan sebelum diterapkannya model cooperative learning tipe STAD peserta didik mendapatkan rata-rata sebesar 20 dengan ketuntasan klasikal hanya mencapai 10%. Setelah diterapkan model STAD pada siklus I mengalami peningkatan dan peserta didik mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 60 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 50% dan pada siklus II mendapatkan rata-rata 78 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 86%. Hasil penelitian tersebut dapat menjadi bukti bahwa dengan menerapkan model cooperative learning tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik di kelas III pada salah satu sekolah dasar negeri yang ada di Purwakarta. ----- The learning activity is carried out in two directions between the teacher and the learner. Learners actively participate in learning so that learning can be effectively implemented and can achieve the purposes of learning. One aspect of competence in the purpose of learning is knowledge. Understanding concepts becomes one of the capabilities that can serve a purpose during learning activities. Learners can understand learning materials not only memorize but also understand the concepts they learn. The cooperative learning type of STAD was one of the simplest and easier models to apply in learning. The type of research used in this study is class-action research (PTK). The subject of this study is a third-class at one of the primary schools in Purwakarta, with a total of 22 people. The average value obtained prior to the implementation of the cooperative learning model, the educated STAD, was valued at an average of 20 with a rating of 10%. After STAD’s model applied to the first cycle had increased and learners scored an average of 60 with a classification rate of 50% and the second cycle got an average of 78 with a rating rate of 86%. The results of the study can be evidence that by adopting the cooperative learning type of STAD a model can promote understanding of third-class learners in one of primary school in Purwakarta.
