Abstract

Media pembelajaran dikenal sebagai alat bantu yang digunakan dan dimanfaatkan oleh pendidik atau guru dalam proses pembelajaran yang berkembang disesuaikan dengan perubahan zaman. Media pembelajaran, sangat penting digunakan terutama digunakan pada pembelajaran untuk anak usia dini agar setiap aspek perkembangan anak dapat berkembang secara optimal. Salah satu aspek perkembangan yang perlu distimulus adalah aspek bahasa dengan salah satu keterampilan membaca. Sebelum anak masuk pada tahap membaca lancar, maka sebaiknya anak diajarkan untuk mengenal huruf alfabet. Berdasarkan studi lapangan di kelompok A RA Assidiqiyyah dan RA PUI Al Fatwa, ditemukan beberapa permasalahan yaitu anak-anak kelompok A rata-rata saat akan masuk ke kelompok B masih belum mampu mengenal huruf alfabet dan media yang tersedia kurang beragam dan kurang menarik. Untuk menarik perhatian anak dan memudahkan anak dalam belajar mengenal huruf alfabet secara menyenangkan, maka perlu media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Maka dari itu, peneliti menindaklanjuti permasalahan tersebut dengan merancang media explosion box untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan mengenal huruf alfabet yang dikembangkan sebagai solusi dari permasalahan yang ditemukan. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui aspek-aspek yang dibutuhkan untuk mengembangkan media explosion box, merancang media explosion box, mengetahui uji kelayakan media explosion box, dan mengetahui efektivitas pengembangan media explosion box untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan mengenal huruf alfabet anak usia 4-5 tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode EDR (Educational Design Research) menurut Mc Kenney & Reves (2012). Langkah-langkah penelitian EDR yaitu (1) Analisis dan Eksplorasi; (2) Desain dan Konstruksi; (3) Evaluasi dan Refleksi. Learning media is known as a tool that is used and utilized by educators or teachers in the learning process that develops according to changing times. Learning media is very important to use, especially used in learning for early childhood so that every aspect of child development can develop optimally. One aspect of development that needs to be stimulated is the aspect of language with one of the reading skills. Before children enter the stage of fluent reading, children should be taught to recognize letters of the alphabet. Based on field studies in group A RA Assidiqiyyah and RA PUI Al Fatwa, several problems were found, namely the children in group A, on average, when they were about to enter group B, were still unable to recognize the letters of the alphabet and the media available was less diverse and less attractive. To attract children's attention and make it easier for children to learn to recognize letters of the alphabet in a fun way, innovative learning media are needed. Therefore, researchers followed up on these problems by designing mediaexplosion box to facilitate the ability to recognize letters of the alphabet which was developed as a solution to the problems found. The purpose of this research is to know the aspects needed to develop the mediaexplosion box, planning mediaexplosion box, knowing the media feasibility testexplosion box, and know the effectiveness of media development explosion box to facilitate the ability to recognize alphabet letters for children aged 4-5 years. The research method used is the EDR method (Educational Design Research) according to McKenney & Reves (2012). The EDR research steps are (1) Analysis and Exploration; (2) Design and Construction; (3) Evaluation and Reflection.
