Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan belajar (learning obstacle) dan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal pada salah satu bidang aljabar, yaitu pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel. Selanjutnya, kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa dikategorikan berdasarkan kategori AVAEM. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan Didactical Design Research (DDR), yang melibatkan 30 siswa kelas VIII dan seorang guru matematika dari salah satu SMPN di kota Bandung. Penelitian ini dilakukan hanya sampai pada tahapan analisis situasi didaktis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara triangulasi, menggunakan tes kemampuan responden, wawancara pendalaman, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa kesulitan siswa dalam pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel berdasarkan kategori AVAEM. Pertama, kesalahan terkait ARITH terjadi karena adanya ontogenic obstacle, epistemological obstacle dan didactical obstacle. Kedua, kategori kesalahan Variable (VAR) yang terjadi karena adanya ontogenic obstacle dan didactical obstacle. Ketiga, adanya ontogenic obstacle dan epistemological obstacle pada kategori Algebraic Expresssion. Keempat, adanya ontogenic obstacle, epistemological obstacle dan didactical obstacle pada kategori Inequality. Kelima, pada kategori Mathematization (MATH) ditemukan epistemological obstacle pada siswa. ABSTRACT This study aims to identify learning obstacles and errors on solving problems in one of the algebra fields, which is one-variable linear inequalities subject. Furthermore, the forms of mistakes made by students are categorized based on the AVAEM category. Methods used in this study is a qualitative methodology with the Didactical Design Research (DDR) approach, involved 30 students of grade VIII and one mathematics teacher at one of SMPN in Bandung city. This research was carried out only up to the didactic situation analysis stage. Data collection was carried out by triangulation using respondents' ability tests, in-depth interviews, and document studies. The result showed that there were some problems on student in learning one-variable linear inequalities analyzed by AVAEM. First, in ARITH there are ontogenic obstacle, epistemological obstacle, and didactical obstacle. Second, in Variable (VAR), there are ontogenic obstacle and didactical obstacle. Third, ontogenic obstacle and epistemological obstacle were found on Algebraic Expression (AE). Fourth, ontogenic obstacle, epistemological obstacle and didactical obstacle were found on Inequality. Fifth, on mathematization (MATH), epistemological obstacle has found.
