Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar materi hidrokarbon berorientasi dilemmas stories menggunakan metode 4S TMD untuk membangun keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Development Research (DR) yang terdiri dari tahap desain, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Tahap desain dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis dan merencanakan jenis bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dan menghasilkan rancangan bahan ajar. Tahap pengembangan bahan ajar hidrokarbon menggunakan metode 4S TMD yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu tahap seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi dan reduksi didaktik. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan melalui tahap uji coba kelayakan dan keterpahaman bahan ajar. Pada tahap desain diperoleh rancangan bahan ajar elektronik berupa e-book. Pada tahap seleksi diperoleh kesesuaian antara kompetensi dasar, indikator pencapaian kompetensi dan label konsep, penjelasan konsep dengan pendekatan dilemmas stories yang dikaitkan dengan aspek berpikir kritis pada materi hidrokarbon sebagai konteks pedagogik. Tahap strukturisasi menghasilkan peta konsep, struktur makro, dan tiga level representasi. Tahap karakterisasi diperoleh 60 teks yang diujikan pada siswa kelas XI, terdapat 5 teks yang tergolong dalam teks sulit. Teks sulit tersebut direduksi didaktik dengan menggunakan penjelasan berupa simbol dan generalisasi. Hasil evaluasi terhadap bahan ajar yang dikembangkan rata rata memenuhi kriteria "sangat layak", dengan rincian pada kelayakan isi sebesar 92,22%, kelayakan kebahasaan sebesar 88,57%, kelayakan penyajian sebesar 92,50%, dan kelayakan dari segi kegrafikan sebesar 90,00%, kelayakan komponen pendekatan dilemmas stories sebesar 100,00%, dan kelayakan aspek kemampuan berpikir kritis sebesar 100,00%. Tingkat keterpahaman bahan ajar rata-rata sebesar 84,16 % yang mengindikasikan bahwa bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori tingkat keterpahaman tinggi. ABSTRACT This study aims to produce teaching materials on hydrocarbons oriented to dilemma stories using the 4S TMD method to build students' critical thinking skills. The research method used is Development Research (DR), which consists of the design, development, and evaluation stages. The design phase is carried out by analyzing and planning the types of teaching materials developed and producing teaching material designs. The development stage of hydrocarbon teaching materials uses the 4S TMD method which consists of four stages, namely the stages of selection, arrangement, characterization and didactic reduction. The evaluation stage is carried out through the feasibility test and understanding of teaching materials. At the design stage, the design of electronic teaching materials in the form of e-books is obtained. At the selection stage, compatibility was obtained between basic competencies, competency achievement indicators and concept labels, concept explanations with a dilemma story approach associated with critical thinking aspects in hydrocarbon material as a pedagogic context. The structuring stage produces concept maps, macro structures, and three levels of representation. The characterization stage obtained 60 texts that were tested on class XI students, there were 5 texts that were classified as difficult texts. Texts that are difficult to reduce were didactic by using explanations in the form of symbols and generalizations. The results of the evaluation of the teaching materials developed on average met the criteria of "very feasible", with details of content eligibility 92.22%, linguistic feasibility 88.57%, presentation feasibility 92.50%, and feasibility in terms of graphics 90.00%. , the feasibility of the dilemma story approach component is 100.00%, and the feasibility of critical thinking skills aspects is 100.00%. The average level of understanding of teaching materials is 84.16% which indicates that the teaching materials developed have a high level of understanding.
