Abstract

Materi perubahan energi di sekolah dasar penting dipelajari. IPA merupakan ilmu yang abstrak namun dapat dirasakan dalam peristiwa kehidupan sehari-hari, oleh karena itu membutuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Pada kenyataannya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar masih rendah karena mayoritas dalam kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan metode ceramah yang menjadikan siswa pasif. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa perlu ditingkatkan salah satunya melalui pembelajaran SETS. Maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran SETS pada materi perubahan energi dan melihat pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran SETS. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian one group pretest–posttest. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 31 siswa SDN 1 Kaliwedi Kidul. Instrumen penelitian dan instrumen pembelajaran yang digunakan yaitu pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara, tes, dokumentasi, RPP, LKPD, proyek penugasan, materi penunjang pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian dengan diperoleh rata-rata pretest sebesar 52,26 sedangkan rata-rata posttest sebesar 77,74. Adapun hasil statistika inferensial didapatkan data berdistribusi normal, homogen, Dimana diperoleh hasil uji t, dengan nilai peluang (sig.) = 0,000 pada pretest maupun posttest < 0,05, H0 DITOLAK. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran SETS terlaksana dengan baik terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SETS terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi perubahan energi. The Transfers of matter material in elementary school must be learned. Natural Science is abstract knowledge, yet it can be felt in daily living. Therefore, it needs students' critical thinking. In fact that the students' critical thinking in elementary school is still low due to the majority of learning activities using the lecturing method, which makes the students learn passively. Hence, this research aimed to measure the application of the SETS learning model in transfers of matter material and the influence of students' critical thinking ability before and after using the SETS learning model. This research used a quantitative Method with one group pretest-postest research design. The research sample was 31 students of Kaliwedi Kidul 1 elementary school. The research and learning instruments used observation, interviews, tests, documentation, Lesson plans, students worksheet (LKPD), project assessment, and other supporting learning media. The result of the research obtained that the pretest average was 52.26. Otherwise, the post-test averafe was 77.74. Also, the inferential statistics result in obtained data distributed normally and homogeneous. Whereas obtained the t-test with the probability value (sig.) = 0,000 either in pretest or posttest < 0,05, H0 REJECTED. Thus, it can be concluded that the SETS learning model was successful, and there was an influence of the SETS learning model on students' critical thinking ability in transfers of matter material.
