Abstract

Pendidikan menjadi katalisator utama bagi pencetakan SDM yang berkualitas. Pada umumnya SDM berkualitas senantiasa berfikir kreatif dalam memecahkan suatu masalah. Potensi kreativitas yang dimiliki setiap peserta didik bisa dikembangkan oleh instruktur/guru di sekolah. Oleh sebab itu permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengembangan kreativitas peserta didik di SD. Tujuannya yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan kreativitas peserta didik melalui kerajinan tanah liat di kelas V SD. Penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan berjenis deskriptif ini dilakukan di salah satu SD di kota Purwakarta. Tiga teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai yaitu observasi dengan disertai lembar observasi, wawancara dengan lembar wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Seluruh data yang terkumpul diolah dengan teknik analisis data interaktif. Temuan hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa guru sudah cukup berhasil dalam mengembangkan kreativitas peserta didik. Aspek-aspek yang meliputi persiapan pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran, dan keaktifan pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru sudah cukup baik. Namun dalam aspek kegiatan penutup, tindak lanjut setelah pembelajaran masih kurang. Observasi terhadap hasil karya peserta didik menunjukan 1 dari 10 peserta didik mencapai hasil sangat baik, 3 orang memperoleh hasil baik, dan sisanya mendapat hasil cukup. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pengembangan kreativitas peserta didik melalui kerajinan tanah liat di SD tersebut sudah cukup baik dalam pengembangan kreativitasnya ----- Education is the main catalyst for the creation of quality human resources. In general, quality human resources always think creatively in solving a problem. The creative potential of each student can be developed by the instructor/teacher at the school. Therefore, the problem in this research is how to develop the creativity of students in elementary school. The aim is to describe the development of students' creativity through clay crafts in fifth grade elementary school. This research with a qualitative and descriptive type approach was carried out in one elementary school in Purwakarta city. Three data collection techniques used are observation accompanied by observation sheets, interviews with interview sheets, and documentation. All data collected was processed by interactive data analysis techniques. The findings of this study stated that the teacher was quite successful in developing the creativity of students. Aspects which include learning preparation, learning process, and learning activities carried out by the teacher are quite good. However, in the aspect of closing activities, follow-up after learning is still lacking. Observation of the students' work shows that 1 out of 10 students achieve very good results, 3 people get good results, and the rest get enough results. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the development of students' creativity through clay crafts at the elementary school was quite good in developing their creativity.
