Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “penggunaan penilaian diri dalam belajar (self assessment of ways of learning) sebagai asesmen alternatif untuk mendiagnosis kesulitan belajar siswa SMP pada materi sistem pernapasan". Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penyusunan dan penerapan asesmen alternatif dalam mengungkap kesulitan belajar siswa pada materi sistem pernafasan manusia di SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa SMP yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar penilaian diri dalam belajar, tes pilihan ganda, uraian tertulis berupa essay, pedoman wawancara,siswa dan guru, angket, dan catatan lapangan (anecdotal record). Pengembangan perangkat asesmen kesulitan belajar dimulai dari penyusunan perangkat penilaian diri dalam belajar, selanjutnya dilakukan uji coba perangkat asesmen, dan penerapan perangkat asesmen. Setelah dilakukan penerapan, dilakukan validasi perangkat kesulitan belajar, kemudian analisis dicocokan, dan selanjutnya dilakukan penyusunan rekomendasi. Karakteristik perangkat asesmen yang telah dikembangkan dapat mendiagnosis kesulitan siswa dan penyebab kesulitannya dalam materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Akan tetapi terdapat keterbatasan dan kendala dalam perangkat asesmen yang dikembangkan diantaranya membutuhkan lebih banyak waktu dalam penerapannya. Kata kunci : kesulitan belajar, asesmen alternatif, self assessment of ways of learning, sistem pernapasan manusia This research was entitled "using of self-assessment in learning (self-assessment of ways of learning) as an alternative assessment to diagnose learning difficulties of students Junior High School in system respiratory matter." This study aimed to describe the forming and implementation of alternative assessments in exposing learning difficulties students at human respiratory system matter in Laboratorium Percontohan UPI Junior High School Bandung. Research method was used descriptive. Subjects were used junior high school students that determined by purposive sampling technique. Instrument used a self-assessment sheet in learning, multiple-choice test, a written description of the form of essays, guidelines interviews students and teachers, questionnaires, and field notes (anecdotal records). Development of the assessment of learning difficulties started from the forming of self-assessment tools in the study, conducted further testing assessment tools, and implementation of assessment tools. Having done the implimentation, validation of device learning difficulties, then the matched analysis, and then performed development of recommendations. Characteristics of assessment tools that have been developed could diagnose student difficulties and cause difficulties in human respiratory system matter. However there were limitations and constraints in the development of assessment tools including needed more time in its implementation.
