Keterampilan berbicara merupakan salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang bersifat produktif. Dalam proses pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman, peserta didik masih mengalami kesulitan. Hal ini diduga antara lain karena peserta didik kurang berani dan sering merasa malu untuk berbicara dalam bahasa Jerman. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, maka dilakukan penelitian berupa “Efektivitas Teknik Pembelajaran Make a Match dalam Pembelajaran Keterampilan Berbicara Bahasa Jerman”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman peserta didik sebelum penerapan teknik pembelajaran Make a Match. 2) keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman peserta didik setelah penerapan teknik pembelajaran Make a Match. 3) efektivitas teknik pembelajaran Make a Match dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman. Pada penelitian ini digunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan satu kelompok pretest dan posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X SMAN 6 Bandung yang memilih bahasa Jerman sebagai mata pelajaran Lintas Minat dengan sampel penelitian kelas X IPS 3 tahun ajaran 2019/2020 sebanyak 30 orang. Akan tetapi, situasi pembelajaran mengalami perubahan, yang disebabkan oleh adanya penyebaran wabah Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19). Oleh karena itu perlakuan dilakukan secara daring dengan menggunakan aplikasi Whatsapp dan Zoom. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes lisan yang terdiri dari 24 butir soal sebagai instrumen utama dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran sebagai instrumen pendukung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa: 1) keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman sebelum penerapan teknik pembelajaran Make a Match termasuk ke dalam kategori “kurang”; 2) keterampilan berbicara Bahasa Jerman peserta didik setelah penerapan teknik pembelajaran Make a Match termasuk ke dalam kategori “baik”; 3) Penerapan teknik pembelajaran Make a Match efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan uji-t hasil pretest dan posttest yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai t_(hitung ) lebih dari t_tabel (19,83 > 1,699) dengan taraf signifikansi (α) = 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, teknik pembelajaran Make a Match dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif teknik pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Jerman. In the learning process of German-speaking skills, the students still have difficulty. The reason could be that the pupils are afraid of speech and often have a speechlessness in class. In order to solve this problem, an investigation was carried out on the topic “Effectiveness of the Make a Match learning technique in German lesseons for speaking skills”. The purposes of this research are to discover: 1) students’ German speaking skills before the application of Make a Match learning techniques. 2) students’ German speaking skills after the application of Make a Match learning techniques. 3) the effectivity of Make a Match learning techniques in learning German speaking skill. A quasi-experimental method with the one-group pre and post-test design was used in this study. The population of this study was all students class X SMAN 6 Bandung with an interest in the German language and as subjects, students from class X IPS 3 were taken in the school year 2019/2020. However, the learning situation has changed due to the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak. Therefore, the treatment was carried out online with Whatsapp and Zoom applications. The main instrument of the investigation was an oral test consisting of 24 questions and the additional instrument was a teaching sketch. Based on research results, it can be found that: 1) the students' speaking ability before using the Make a Match learning technique belongs to the “sufficient” category; 2) the students' speaking ability after using the Make a Match learning technique belongs to the “good” category; 3) the learning technique Make a Match is effective for increasing the German-speaking skills of students. This is evidenced by the T-test of results of the pre- and post-test, which shows that t_calculate is higher than t_table (19.83> 1.699) with significance (α) level of 0,05. This shows that there are significant differences in the result of pretest and posttest. For this reason, the Make a Match learning technique could be used as an alternative learning technique to improve speaking skills.
