Abstract

Industri garmen di Kecamatan Purwadadi kurang memperhatikan faktor geografis, sehingga industri garment yang berada di Kecamatan Purwadadi kurang begitu berkembang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis faktor geografis yang mendukung pertumbuhan industri garment serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap kesejahteraan penduduk.. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis presentase, skoring dan statistik. Industri yang menjadi subjek pada penelitian ini adalah empat industri garmen yang berada di Desa Wanakerta Kecamatan Purwadadi Kabupaten Subang. Sampel pada penelitian ini di bagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu 48 responden yang berada di radius 0-500 m dan 48 responden berada di radius 500-1km. Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan metode skoring terhadapfaktor geografis yang mendukung pertumbuhan industri didapat hasil yaitu iklim mendapatkan kategori cukup sesuai, kemiringan lereng mendapatkan kategori sangat sesuai, tata air mendapatkan kategori sangat sesuai, bahan baku mendapatkan kategori tidak sesuai, tenga kerja mendapatkan kategori sangat sesuai, transportasi atau kelas jalan tidak sesuai dan terakhir indikaktor pemasaran mendapatkan kategori tidak sesuai. Lebih lanjut hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis menyatakan bahwa keberadaan industri garmen memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan penduduk Desa Wanakerta Kecamatan Purwadadi Kabupaten Subang. Terdapat beberapa hal yang peneliti rekomendasikan berdasarkan temuan penelitian, diantaranya terkait pembangunan lokasi industri yang harus memperhatikan kelas jalan, karena seharunya industri besar dekat dengan jalan arteri. Selanjutnya terkait bahan baku dan pemasaran, sebaiknya agar menekan angka distribusi, bahan baku maupun hasil produksi dapat dibeli dan dijual di dalam negeri. ;---The garment industry in Purwadadi Subdistrict lacks attention to geographical factors, so the garment industry in Purwadadi Subdistrict is less developed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the geographical factors that support the growth of the garment industry and analyze the impact on the welfare. Method used is quantitative descriptive. Data collection uses observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation, while data analysis techniques use percentage analysis, scoring and statistics. The industry that is the subject of this study are four garment industries in Wanakerta Village, Purwadadi District, Subang Regency. The sample in this study is divided into two parts, 48 respondents who are in the 0-500 m radius and 48 respondents are in the 500-1km radius. The results of the analysis using the scoring method on the geographical factors that support industrial growth results obtained that the climate gets a category that is quite appropriate, the slope of the slope gets a very suitable category, the water system gets a very suitable category, the raw material gets an inappropriate category, the work period is very suitable, transportation or road class is not suitable and lastly the indicator of marketing gets an inappropriate category. Furthermore, the results of the calculation of the hypothesis test state that the existence of the garment industry has a significant influence on the welfare of the villagers of Wanakerta, Purwadadi District, Subang Regency. There are several things that researchers recommend based on research findings, including related to the construction of industrial sites that must pay attention to road classes, because large industries should be close to arterial roads. Furthermore, related to raw materials and marketing, it is better to reduce the distribution rate, raw materials and production products can be purchased and sold domestically
