Abstract

ABSTRAK Intan Rahayu Kuswoharti (0700645). Konsep Diri pada Mantan PSK dengan HIV Positif (Studi Fenomenologi terhadap Mantan PSK dengan HIV Positif di Kabupaten Indramayu). Skripsi. Jurusan Psikologi Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Bandung (2014). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran mengenai aspek konsep diri serta factor-faktor pembentuk konsep diri pada mantan PSK dengan HIV positif di Kabupaten Indramayu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Ko-peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah seorang perempuan dewasa, memiliki riwayat pernah bekerja sebagai PSK, berstatus HIV positif dan tinggal di Kabupaten Indramayu. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara tidak terstruktur dengan uji keabsahan data menggunakan teknik intersubjective validity dan epoche. Hasil yang diperoleh memperlihatkan bahwa terdapat 5 aspek konsep diri positif ko-peneliti, yaitu kemampuan ko-peneliti dalam memaknai nilai, prinsip, dan pengalaman yang diperolehnya secara positif, kemampuan mengelola perasaan dan harapan, kemampuan untuk percaya diri dalam menghadapi masalah dan kegagalan, kemampuan menerima dirinya sebagai individu yang utuh, serta kemampuan memahami hubungan antara dirinya dengan tuhan. Dari hasil tersebut, ko-peneliti membangun konsep diri positif yang diperoleh dari hasil belajar terhadap pengalaman hidup. Hal yang juga berperan dalam pembentukan konsep diri positif dalam diri ko-peneliti adalah dukungan dari orang terdekat dalam hal ini keluarga, teman dan pasangan, serta lingkungan rumah sakit. This study is conducted aiming at recognizing self concepts and the factors that construct them in ex-sexual commercial worker with HIV positive in the Regency of Indramayu. This study applies qualitative method using fenomenology approach. The co-researcher involved in this study is an adult woman having past experience as a sexual commercial worker who is also an HIV positive and live in the Regency of Indramayu. Data collection method used is unstructured interviews using intersubjective validity and epoche techniques in its data validity test. The results show that there are 5 aspects underlining the positive self-concept of the co-researcher, namely the co-researcher's ability to interpret the values, principles, and experiences she gained positively, the ability to manage feelings and expectations, the ability to confidently face problems and failures, the ability accept herself as a whole individual, as well as the ability to understand the relationship between himself and God. The co-researcher builds a positive self-concept resulted from self learning of life experiences. Another aspect that plays a role in gaining positive self-concept in the co-reseracher is the support she gets from closest relatives, friends, friends, and acquaintance she meets at the hospital where she is treated.
