Abstract
Di dalam suatu proses pengembangan suatu kawasan berbasis ekowisata terdapat beberapa unsur penting, diantaranya pariwisata, sosial, ekonomi, pendidikan dan konservasi. Hal-hal tersebut sangat penting dalam terciptanya suatu kawasan ekowisata. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menemukan strategi ideal untuk mengembangkan Taman Wisata Alam Gunung Tampomas menjadi kawasan ekowisata yang memanfaatkan llingkungan untuk perlindungan, memberdayakan masyarakat, menyajikan produk bermuatan pendidikan, berdampak negatif minimal, serta memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pembangunan ekonomi Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian analisis deskriptif, yaitu suatu metode yang mendeskripsikan gambaran atau pelukisan secara sistematis, aktual dan akurat mengenai fakta-fakta, sifat-sifat serta hubungan antar fenomena yang akan diselidiki. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif, maka dapat diperoleh deskripsi mengenai gambaran umum Taman Wisata Alam Gunung Tampomas, gambaran mengenai kepuasan wisatawan serta dukungan dari dmasyarakat lokal. Analisis SWOT digunakan Dalam menentukan faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pengembangan ekowisata. Hasil dari analisis kemudian dirumuskan menjadi beberapa strategi dengan menggunakan matriks TOWS, lalu menentukan keputusan dengan menggunakan diagram SWOT (positioning). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Taman Wisata Alam Gunung Tampomas memiliki potensi yang besar apabila dikembangkan menjadi kawasan ekowisata. Adapun strategi yang diterapkan adalah strategi progresif atau strategi S-O, seperti membuat program ekowisata yang menarik, menawarkan daya tarik wisata dengan membuat produk wisata, serta memanfaatkan dukungan yang besar dari masyarakat lokal. Kata Kunci : Tampomas, Unsur-unsur Ekowisata, Analisi SWOT, Strategi progresif. In a process of development of a region-based ecotourism, there are several important elements, including tourism, social, economy, education and conservation. Those things are very important in the creation of an ecotourism area. This research purpose is to find ideal strategy to developt Tampomas Nature Park as an ecotourism area which utilizing environment for protection, empowering the community, presenting educational laden products, minimal negative impact, and contribute positively to economic development. The method used in this study is a descriptive analysis research method, which is a method that describes the picture or portrayal in a systematic, timely and reliable information on the facts, the properties and the relationship between the phenomenon to be investigated. By using the descriptive research method, it can be obtained a general description of Tampomas Mountain Nature Park, an overview of tourist satisfaction, and support from community. SWOT analysis is used in determining the supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of ecotourism. The Results of the analysis then formulated into a strategy using TOWS matrix, then decide the strategy by using a SWOT diagram (positioning). The research results showed that Tampomas Mountain Nature Park has great potential if developed into a tourism area. The strategy adopted to develop Natural Park of Mount Tampomas as ecoutourism area is progressive strategy or S-O strategies, such as creating an attractive ecotourism program, offers tourist attraction to create tourism products, and take advantages of the great support from the local community.
