Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini didasari pada hasil produksi industri tahu di Cibuntu Kecamatan Bandung Kulon Kota Bandung dalam tiga bulan produksi terakhir di Tahun 2012 berada dalam kondisi berfluktuatif bahkan cenderung mengalami penurunan. Hal ini diduga penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi yang ada belum efisien. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi pada proses produksi tahu di Cibuntu Kecamatan Bandung Kulon Kota Bandung telah mencapai efisiensi optimum dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana tingkat skala produksi (Returns to Scale) pada proses produksi tahu di Cibuntu Kecamatan Bandung Kulon Kota Bandung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh pengusaha industri tahu Cibuntu yang berjumlah sebanyak 170 pengusaha dan dilakukan dengan pengambilan sampel sebanyak 63 orang pengusaha. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan teknis analisis data menggunakan model fungsi Cobb-Douglas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penggunaan faktor produksi kedelai, kunyit, garam, tenaga kerja dan bahan bakar tidak mencapai efisiensi optimum. Maka untuk mencapai efisiensi optimum pengusaha perlu melakukan strategi pengurangan atau penambahan dalam penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi sehingga hasil produksi tahu dapat meningkat dan dengan tingkat penggunaan faktor produksi yang optimum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, skala produksi pada industri tahu berada pada tahap Decreasing returns to scale. Ini menunjukkan bahwa proporsi penambahan masukan produksi melebihi proporsi penambahan produksi. It is thought the use of factors of production that is not efficient. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of factors of production in the production process know Cibuntu Kulon Bandung Bandung District has achieved optimum efficiency and to find out how the rate of production scale (Returns to Scale) in the production process know Cibuntu Bandung District Kulon City Bandung. The population in this study are all entrepreneurs know Cibuntu industry, amounting to some 170 entrepreneurs and is done by taking a sample of 63 people entrepreneurs. The research method used is descriptive analytical research methods with technical analysis of the data using the model of Cobb-Douglas function. These results indicate that the use of production factors soy, turmeric, salt, labor and fuel does not reach optimum efficiency. So to achieve optimum efficiency employers need to make strategic reduction or increase in the use of factors of production so that production can be increased and know the level of optimum utilization of production factors. Based on this research, the scale of production in the industry knows is at the stage Decreasing returns to scale.
