Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kondisi kritis kualitas airtanah dangkal di Kecamatan Dayeuhkolot Kabupaten Bandung. Penggunaan airtanah, di daerah penelitian tergolong tinggi, selain untuk memenuhi kebutuhan rumah tangga, airtanah juga dewasa ini tengah digunakan untuk keperluan industri yang tidak sedikit limbahnya dibuang ke sungai dan mencemari ekosistem sungai. Selain itu, kondisi daerah penelitian yang sering tergenang banjir saat musim hujan, menyebabkan airtanah dangkal mudah sekali tercemar oleh lingkungannya sendiri dan mengakibatkan adanya penurunan kualitas airtanah dangkal. Oleh karena itu timbul keingintahuan penulis untuk mengetahui bagaimana kualitas airtanah dangkal di daerah penelitian dan bagaimana perlakuan masyarakat selaku pengguna airtanah itu sendiri. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi kepada penduduk setempat agar dijadikan pertimbangan dalam pemanfaatan airtanah di daerah penelitian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif dan survei. Untuk memperoleh data kualitas airtanah dangkal ditentukan dari 12 sampel sumur yang diambil di wilayah kajian penelitian dengan pertimbangan keterdapatan sumur, jarak sumur dengan pemukiman, dan sumur yang sering digunakan oleh warga. Menentukan kualitas air dilakukan uji laboratorium terhadap parameter fisika (bau, rasa, DHL, TDS, kekeruhan) dan parameter kimia (pH, besi, kesadahan, nitrat, nitrit, sulfat dan zat organik) pada sampel dan disesuaikan Dengan Peraturan Pemerintah No 82. Tahun 2001 Tentang Kriteria Mutu Air Berdasarkan Kelas. Dan untuk memeperoleh data respon masyarakat, dilakukan dengan kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan secara karakteristik fisika dan kimia, kualitas airtanah dangkal di 12 plot terbagi menjadi; (1) kelas kualitas mutu airtanah dangkal I (plot 2, plot 9, dan plot 10); (2) kelas kualitas mutu airtanah dangkal II (plot 8 dan 12); (3) kelas kualitas mutu airtanah dangkal III (plot 1, plot 3, plot 4, plot 5, plot 6, plot 7, dan plot 11). Airtanah kualitas kelas I aman dikonsumsi karena memenuhi standar, sementara air kualitas kelas II dan III kurang baik dikonsumsi. Persebaran kelas kualitas air kurang dari setengahnya atau sekitar 41% tergolong dalam kelas kualitas air III. Adapun perlakuan (treatment) masyarakat terhadap kualitas air senantiasa terjaga berbeda pada setiap kelasnya. Di kelas kualitas air I tidak ada perlakuan, namun pada kelas kualitas II dan III ada perlakuan sebelum masyarakat menggunakan air tersebut untuk keperluan sehari-hari yaitu melakukan filtrasi/penyaringan dan pengendapan supaya air menjadi jernih. The research was motivated by the critical condition of the shallow groundwater quality Dayeuhkolot District of Bandung regency. The use of groundwater, in the study area is high, in addition to meeting the needs of the household, also up groundwater is being used for industrial purposes not less wastes dumped into rivers and pollute the river ecosystem. In addition, the condition of the study area is often flooded during the rainy season, causing shallow groundwater easily contaminated by the environment itself and lead to a decrease in the quality of shallow groundwater. Hence arises the author curiosity to know how the quality of shallow groundwater in the study area and how the treatment of groundwater as a user community itself. The study is expected to provide information to local residents to be taken into consideration in the use of groundwater in the study area. The method used in this research is descriptive and survey methods. To obtain data on the quality of shallow groundwater wells determined from 12 samples taken in the study area of research by considering keterdapatan wells, distance to residential wells, and wells that are often used by residents. Determine the water quality conducted laboratory tests on physical parameters (smell, taste, DHL, TDS, turbidity) and chemical parameters (pH, iron, hardness, nitrates, nitrites, sulfates and organic matter) in a sample and adjusted by Government Regulation No. 82. 2001 on Water Quality Criteria Based Class. And to obtain the response data, conducted by questionnaire and interview. The results showed the physical and chemical characteristics, the quality of shallow groundwater in 12 plots divided into: (1) class quality shallow groundwater quality I (plot 2, plot 9, and plot 10), (2) shallow groundwater quality quality grade II (plot 8 and 12), (3) shallow groundwater quality quality grade III (plot 1, plot 3, plot 4, plot 5, plot 6, plot 7, and plot 11). Class I groundwater quality standards for safe consumption, while the water quality class II and III are less well taken. Distribution of water quality grade is less than half, or about 41% belong to the class III water quality. The treatment communities on water quality is always maintained different for each class. In class I there are no water quality treatment, but the quality of the class II and III no treatment before the water is used for day-to-day is to do the filtration / filtration and sedimentation so that the water becomes clear.
