Abstract
Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan prototype buku teks pelajaran kimia pada materi asam basa yang memenuhi kriteria kelayakan isi, penyajian, bahasa, dan kegrafikan. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan metode deskriptif dan evaluatif. Pada metode deskriptif, penelitian dilakukan dengan menganalisis penggunaan level representasi, ketepatan konsep dan kesesuaian konsep dengan KD pada tiga buah buku teks pelajaran kimia SMA kelas XI yang paling banyak digunakan di SMA Negeri kota Bandung. Selain itu, pada metode deskriptif diuraikan juga mengenai pengembangan prototype buku teks pelajaran. Pengembangan prototype buku teks pelajaran diawali dengan mengembangkan indikator dan konsep, level representasi pada deskripsi konsep, pembuatan outline, serta penyusunan prototype buku teks pelajaran. Pada metode evaluatif, produk prototype buku teks pelajaran tersebut dinilai oleh lima ahli. Hasil analisis tiga buku teks pelajaran kimia SMA menunjukkan deskripsi konsep pada level makroskopik paling sedikit disajikan dan terdapat beberapa deskripsi konsep yang berpotensi menimbulkan miskonsepsi serta tidak sesuai dengan KD. Hasil analisis indikator dan konsep didapatkan 19 indikator dan 13 konsep setelah divalidasi oleh dua orang validator. Hasil validasi tiga level representasi dari masing-masing konsep yang dikembangkan terdapat level representasi yang valid namun perlu diperbaiki dan level representasi yang tidak valid. Hasil penilaian ahli menunjukkan bahwa prototype buku teks pelajaran yang dikembangkan sebagian besar telah memenuhi kriteria dengan beberapa perbaikan berdasarkan masukan dari ahli. Sebagai tambahan, pada kriteria kelayakan bahasa, prototype yang dikembangkan diuji keterbacaannya menggunakan Grafik Fry dan Uji rumpang. Hasil dari Grafik Fry menunjukkan keterbacaan prototype buku teks pelajaran berada pada tingkat 8, 9, dan 10. Berdasarkan uji rumpang, keterbacaan prototype buku teks pelajaran menunjukkan tingkat keterbacaan yang tinggi.;--- The aims of this research was to develop a prototype of chemistry textbook learning on the subject of acid and base that fulfill criteria of content, presentation, language and graphics. The research method used was Research and Development on descriptive and evaluative stage. In the descriptive stage, this research employed the use of three level representation, concepts accuracy and concept appropriateness with basic competences on three chemical high school textbooks used in level XI Senior High School in Bandung City. The making textbook prototype began with the development indicators and concepts, the formulation of three level representations on concepts’ description, the design the outline, and design of textbook. In evaluative stage, prototype of textbook was validated by five validators. Analysis of three high school chemistry textbooks indicated that the macroscopic level was presented in small quantity and there were several concepts description that potentially bring misconception and inappropriate with basic competences. The analysis of indicators and concepts resulted 19 indicators and 13 concepts validated by two validators. The validation of three level representation resulted valid level representation with some areas for improvement and invalid level representation. The validation indicated that textbook prototype had mostly fulfilled the criteria of textbook with some areas for improvement. In addition, on the language criteria the prototype had readability test by Graph formula and test cloze. The readability by Fry Graph formula indicated that text takes level 8, out of 10. Based on cloze test, the readability textbook prototype was characterized high.
