Abstract
Masalah yang diangkat dalam tesis ini berkaitan tentang “Bagaimana Pembelajaran Sejarah Lokal tentang Kesadaran Sejarah mengenai Cagar Budaya Kesultanan Aceh untuk Meningkatkan Kesadaran Sejarah Para Siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Banda Aceh?”. Fokus masalah yang diangkat dalam tesis ini berkaitan penghargaaan kesadaran sejarah terhadap Cagar Budaya Kesultanan Aceh di Kota Banda Aceh. Dari permasalahan tersebut, peneliti berusaha menjawab melalui pertanyaan penelitian sebagai berikut: 1. Bagaimana pemahaman siswa dalam memahami pentingnya Cagar Budaya Kesultanan Aceh untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah para siswa SMA Negeri 1? 2. Bagaimana proses pembelajaran sejarah lokal SMA Negeri 1 mengenai Cagar Budaya Kesultanan Aceh untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah para siswa? 3. Bagaimana hasil-hasil yang dicapai oleh siswa di SMA Negeri 1 dalam apresiasinya terhadap Cagar Budaya Kesultanan Aceh untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah para siswa? 4. Bagaimana kendala dan solusi yang dihadapi guru terhadap pembelajaran tentang Cagar Budaya Kesultanan Aceh di SMA Negeri 1 untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah para siswa? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode Naturalistik Inkuiri. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan beberapa hal: Pertama,, Para siswa masih ada yang belum memahami betapa pentingnya menjaga peninggalan tersebut. Mereka hanya bernostalgia belaka bahwa Aceh khususnya Banda Aceh dahulu pernah mengalami kejayaan, tetapi sebagian besar lainnya ada yang telah memahami pentingnya menjaga peninggalan tersebut. Kedua. Proses pembelajaran sejarah lokal SMA Negeri 1 Banda Aceh mengenai Cagar Budaya Kesultanan Aceh telah berjalan dengan baik. Guru telah menjalankan proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dalam upaya meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah peserta didik untuk lebih mencintai peninggalan nenek moyang mereka. Ketiga Hasil-hasil yang dicapai oleh siswa di SMA Negeri 1 dalam apresiasinya terhadap Cagar Budaya Kesultanan Aceh di peroleh timbulnya kesadaran sejarah. Selain itu siswa mulai memiliki rasa memiliki, hal ini ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan dari nilai tes dan juga apresiasi mereka dengan mengunjungi peninggalan tersebut dan lebih mengetahui peninggalan yang berada di sekitar mereka terutama yang berada di daerah Banda Aceh. Keempat. Kendalanya yaitu sulitnya sumber yang dimiliki guru apalagi dalam membahas materi sejarah lokal. Kurangnya sumber yang guru miliki terutama tentang peninggalan bersejarah. Kendala lainnya adalah guru belum terbiasa dalam proses pembelajaran ini. Solusinya adalah guru lebih berusaha mencarikan sumber terhadap materi sejarah lokal agar pembelajaran lebih hidup. Selain itu terus melakukan pembelajaran sejarah lokal untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah mengenai Cagar Budaya Kesultanan Aceh agar terbiasa dengan pembelajaran yang berbasis terhadap lingkungan sekitar.;---The problem raised in this thesis related with “How is Local History Learning About Historical Awareness of Culturally Protected Area of Aceh Sultanate to Enhance Students’ Historical Awareness in SMAN 1 Banda Aceh?” The focus of problem in this thesis related with the appreciation of historical awareness toward Culturally Protected Area of Aceh Sultanate in Banda Aceh City. From that problem, the researcher try to answer it through research questions as follow: 1. How is students’ understanding about the importance of Culturally Protected Area of Aceh Sultanate to enhance historical awareness of SMAN 1 students? 2. How is learning process of local history in SMAN 1 about Culturally Protected Area of Aceh Sultanate to enhance students’ historical awareness? 3. How is the result achieved by students in SMAN 1 in their appreciation toward Culturally Protected Area of Aceh Sultanate to enhance students’ historical awareness? 4. How is obstacle and solution faced by teachers toward learning of Culturally Protected Ares of Aceh Sultanate in SMAN 1 to enhance students’ historical awareness? This study use qualitative approach with Inquiry Naturalistic method. The result of study conclude some matters: First, there are still some students who had not been understood how importance to preserve that heritage. They only have nostalgia that Aceh particularly Banda Aceh in the past time had ever experienced the glory, but there are another students who had understood how important to preserve that heritage. Second, the process of local history learning in SMAN 1 Banda Aceh about Culturally Protected Area of Banda Aceh had been ran well. Teachers had done learning process which is fun in the effort to enhance students’ historical awareness to love more their ancestor heritage. Third, the results that achieved by students in SMAN 1 in their appreciation toward Culturally Protected Area of Aceh Sultanate result in historical awareness. Moreover, students started to have the sense of belonging, this is indicated by the increase of test score and also their appreciation by visiting that heritage and know more about the heritage surround them especially in Banda Aceh. Forth, the obstacle is the lack of sources that teachers have particularly in discussing local history material, especially the sources about historical heritage. Another obstacle is that the teacher had not get used with this learning process. The solution is teacher will try harder to find out the sources of local history material in order to more enliven learning. Besides, it is expected that they continually study local history to enhance historical awareness about Culturally Protected Area of Aceh Sultanate in order to get used with learning based on surrounding environment.
