Abstract
Remaja merupakan fase peralihan dari masa anak-anak ke masa dewasa dimana pada fase ini individu memiliki tugas penting untuk mencapai identitas diri yang mantap melalui eksplorasi terhadap diri dan lingkungan serta adanya komitmen terhadap suatu pilihan. Fenomena remaja sekarang dihadapkan pada permasalahan untuk menjawab pertanyaan mengenai arah karir, agama, politik, filosofi gaya hidup, persahabatan, orientasi jenis kelamin dan aspirasi untuk masa depan. Penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas XI SMA Laboratorium (Percontohan) UPI Bandung dengan responden sebanyak 206 siswa, diperoleh bahwa 27,25% siswa berada pada status identitas moratorium; 25,79% berada pada status identitas achievement; 24,21% berada pada status identitas foreclosure; dan 22,75% berada pada status identitas diffusion. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa sudah atau masih terus melakukan eksplorasi terhadap berbagai alternatif pilihan dan informasi-informasi penting yang diperlukannya. Di sisi lain siswa belum mampu menentukan suatu pilihan secara ajeg maupun berkomitmen pada pilihannya. Berdasarkan gambaran pencapaian status identitas diri siswa tersebut, maka dirumuskan suatu program bimbingan pribadi-sosial yang bertujuan untuk membantu siswa dalam meningkatkan pencapaian status identitasnya. --- Adolescence is a transition phase from childhood into adulthood in which in this phase, individual has important task to achieve a steady self-identity through exploration toward him/herself and environment and has a commitment toward a choice. The phenomena of adolescent now is faced by problems to answer the question about direction of carrier, religion, politic, philosophy of life style, friendships, sex orientation and aspiration for the future. The study is conducted toward students of Class XI SMA Laboratorium (Percontohan) UPI Bandung with total of 206 students as respondents. It is obtained that 27.25% students are in moratorium identity status; 25.79% are in achievement identity status; 24.21% are in foreclosure identity status; and 22.75% are in diffusion identity status. The result of study showed that most of students have and still continually do exploration toward various alternative of choices and important things which are needed. In other word, students had not been able to decide a stabile choice or committed to their choice. Based on description of self-identity status achievement of those adolescents, then a social-personal guidance program is formulated which aimed to help students in enhancing achievement of their identity status.
