Abstract

Kurangnya motivasi yang diberikan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran geografi di SMAN 1 Sukaresmi menjadikan peserta didik kurang aktif sehingga terlihat bosan dan mengantuk pada saat kegiatan pembelajaran. Guru sudah berusaha menggunakan media pembelajaran, namun hasil belajar peserta didik masih banyak yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM). Dalam upaya mengatasi masalah motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran geografi dicoba dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi peserta didik dengan indikator peningkatan dalam aspek durasi, persistensi, dan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Sukaresmi kelas X semester genap. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X-4 dengan jumlah peserta didik 39, peserta didik laki-laki berjumlah 17 dan peserta didik perempuan berjumlah 22. Aspek yang dikaji meliputi motivasi berprestasi peserta didik dan penerapan model pembelajaran ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction). Rencana tindakan yang akan dilaksanakan melalui tiga tindakan dalam satu siklus. Adapun dalam setiap tindakan terdiri dari tiga kegiatan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu: lembar observasi, instrumen tes, lembar kerja peserta didik (LKS), dan presentasi. Analisis data terdiri dari data kuantitatif dengan prosentase dan data kualitatif untuk merefleksi pelaksanaan tindakan. Indikator keberhasilan pada penelitian ini manakala seorang peserta didik telah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) sekolah sebesar 75. Indikator keberhasilan dilihat dari aspek durasi, aspek persistensi, dan aspek hasil belajar dengan target 80% dari seluruh peserta didik sebanyak 39 peserta didik yaitu sekitar 31 peserta didik yang berhasil mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Hasil penelitian terhadap motivasi berprestasi peserta didik dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction) pada mata pelajaran geografi diperoleh data sebagai berikut yaitu: (1) Meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi peserta didik pada aspek durasi, aspek persistensi, dan aspek hasil belajar pada setiap tindakan yang ditandai dengan peserta didik aktif dan tidak ada lagi peserta didik yang mengantuk bahkan yang sibuk dengan kegiatan sendiri. (2) Meningkatnya jumlah peserta didik yang telah mencapai KKM. Sebelum tindakan terdapat 6 peserta didik, pada tindakan pertama terdapat 22 peserta didik, pada tindakan kedua terdapat 34 peserta didik, dan pada tindakan ketiga terdapat 37 peserta didik. Kata kunci : Motivasi Berprestasi Peserta didik dan Model Pembelajaran ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, Satisfaction). Lack of motivation given by teachers in learning geography in SMAN 1 Sukaresmi makes students less active so it looks tired and sleepy at the moment of learning activities. The teacher has been trying to use the media learning, student learning outcomes; however, there are still many who have not yet reached the KKM. In an attempt to solve the problems of motivation and study result of the students in learning geography attempted to use the model of learning arias (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction). The purpose of this research is to increase the motivation of the student achievers with indicators of improvement in the aspect of duration, persistence, and the results of the study. This research uses the class action Research (PTK) is implemented in the class X Sukaresmi SMAN 1 in second semester. The subject of this research is a student x-4 with 39, number of students boys were 17 and 22 students were women. The aspects examined include the motivation of an accomplished student learning model and application of ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction). The action plan will be implemented through three actions in one cycle. As for in each action consists of three activities: planning, implementation, and reflection. The instruments used in the data collection, namely: observation sheets, test instruments, student worksheet (LKS), and presentations. Data analysis consisted of quantitative data with qualitative data and percentage to reflect the implementation of the action. Indicator of success in this research while a student has reached KKM of 75. Indicators of success as seen from the aspect of duration, aspect of persistence, and aspects of the results of the study with a target of 80% of all students by as much as 39 students are about 31 students who successfully attain the KKM. The result of researching on motivation for achievement the student with use the model of learning ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction) on the subjects of geography is obtained data as follows: (1) increase the motivation best students, on the duration the aspect of persistency, and the aspect of the results of study in any act that characterized by students active and no more students being drowsy even preoccupied with his own activities. (2) An increase in the number of students who has attained KKM. There were six students, before the act of on the first act of there are 22 students, to the action of both students, there were 34 and to the action of third there are 37 students.
