Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh belum teridentifikasinya mengenai dukungan sosial di lingkungan boarding school yang kurang efektif. Kurang terjadinya interaksi antara peserta didik dengan orang tua di lingkungan boarding school yang akan mempengaruhi dukungan sosial yang diperoleh peserta didik dari orang tuanya, dukungan sosial orang tua sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan remaja dalam aspek pribadi, sosial, karir dan akademik. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dukungan sosial orang tua pada remaja kelas X, XI, XII SMK Daarut Tauhid Boarding School Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu deskriptif dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa kuisioner dukungan sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial yang diperoleh peserta didik dari orang tuanya berada pada kategori sangat puas atau tinggi terutama dari ibu, hal ini menunjukkan adanya keterbukaan peserta didik dalam menerima dukungan sosial dari orang tuanya. Selain dari orang tua, peserta didik menerima dukungan sosial dari teman-temannya. Dari 27 item pernyataan, dukungan sosial yang diperoleh peserta didik berasal dari orang tua terutama ibu, hanya 1 item dukungan sosial yang diperoleh siswa berasal dari temannya. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan sosial yang baik antara ibu dan anak. Dari segi aspek dukungan sosial, ketiga aspek dari dukungan sosial yaitu dukungan emosional, dukungan informasional dan dukungan instrumental berada pada kategori sangat puas. Kata kunci: Dukungan Sosial, Orang Tua, Boarding School Yet research is motivated by the identification of the social support in boarding school environment were less effective. Less interaction between students with parents in the boarding school environment which will affect social support learners obtained from parents, social support of parents greatly influenced the development of adolescents in the aspect of personal, social, academic and career. The study aims to describe social support parents in students at class X, XI, XII SMK Daarut Tauhid Bandung Boarding School Academic Year 2015/2016. The research method is descriptive by using instruments such as social support questionnaire. The results showed that social support was obtained from the parents of students in the category are very satisfied or high, especially from the mother, it demonstrates the openness of learners in receiving social support from their parents. Aside from parents, learners receive social support from friends. Of the 27 items the statement, obtained social support learners come from parents, especially mothers, only one item of social support obtained came from his friends. This suggests a good social relationship between mother and child. In terms of social support aspect, the third aspect of the social support that emotional support, informational support and instrumental support in the category are very satisfied.
