Abstract
Information technology development on long distance learning with e-learning basis has given a grand opportunity for all ISOL teaching parties and interests to develop ISOL teaching and learning field. In order to facilitate ISOL learning needs, especially in relation to speaking teaching and learning which requires direct interaction with teachers and in relation to the use of e-learning, blended learning model can be used as one alternative to integrate more than one e-learning model types. This study aimed to: (1) find out a design of ISOL speaking teaching and learning in intermediate level by using blended learning model; (2) investigate learning process of ISOL speaking by using blended learning model; (3) explore the level of ISOL learners before, during, and after learning by using blended learning model; and (4) seek the influence of blended learning model in ISOL teaching on ISOL learners speaking ability, viewed from the aspects of pronunciation, accent, intonation, diction, grammar and politeness. This study employed single subject experimental, A-B-A design, involving two intermediate ISOL learners as the participants. The study used multiple techniques of data collections including test, observation, and questionnaire. The findings showed that there was a learning improvement in ISOL speaking ability of ISOL learners that can be seen from the following data: (1) an increase in the mean level of Subject 1 is as much as 56.2 on the initial baseline (A1), 78 on the intervention (78) and 80.5 on the final baseline; (2) an increase in the mean level of Subject 2 is 43.75 on the initial baseline, 67.6 on the intervention, and 70 on the final baseline. An overlap data number is 0% of both subjects, indicating that the application of blended learning on the intervention is likely to improve ISOL learners speaking ability. Further, the tendency of the line increases in every condition and the analysis of the data led to a conclusion that the use of blended learning model was likely to give a positive influence on the ISOL learners to improve their speaking ability Perkembangan Teknologi Informatika terhadap pembelajaran jarak jauh berbasis e-learning menjadi peluang besar untuk mengembangkan bidang pengajaran BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing). Akan tetapi diperlukan model blended learning yang memadukan lebih dari satu jenis model e-elearning sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pembelajaran BIPA, khususnya dalam pembelajaran berbicara yang membutuhkan interaksi langsung dengan pengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) bentuk rancangan pembelajaran berbicara BIPA tingkat menengah dengan menggunakan model blended learning, (2) proses pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara BIPA dengan menggunakan model blended learning, (3) tingkat keterampilan berbicara pembelajar BIPA sebelum, selama dan setelah mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan model blended learning, (4) pengaruh penggunaan model blended learning dalam pembelajaran BIPA terhadap keterampilan berbicara pembelajar yang meliputi aspek ketepatan pelafalan, aksen, intonasi, ketepatan penggunaan kosakata, ketepatan tata bahasa, ketepatan intonasi, dan kesantunan berbahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen subjek tunggal dengan desain A-B-A. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah dua orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes, observasi, dan angket. Hasil analisis terhadap data penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan berbicara subjek 1 dan 2. Terdapat peningkatan mean level skor subjek 1, yaitu sebesar 56,2 pada kondisi baseline awal (A1), 78 pada kondisi intervensi (B), dan 80,5 pada kondisi baseline akhir. Demikian pula mean level skor subjek 2, yaitu sebesar 43,75 pada kondisi baseline awal (A1), 67,6 pada kondisi intervensi (B), dan 70 pada kondisi baseline akhir. Angka data overlap yang sebesar 0% untuk kedua subjek menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model blended learning pada kondisi intervensi dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara. Hal ini juga ditunjukan dengan kecenderungan arah garis yang meningkat pada setiap kondisi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya penggunaan model blended learning memberi pengaruh positif atau dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara kedua subjek.
