Abstract
Setiap individu yang masuk Lapas dan berubah status menjadi napi pasti akan mengalami berbagai permasalahan dan kehilangan, seperti kehilangan kebebasan, kehilangan kontrol atas hidup, kehilangan keluarga, kehilangan barang dan jasa, kehilangan keamanan, kehilangan hubungan heteroseksual, dan gangguan psikologis, tidak terkecuali pada narapidana korupsi. Permasalahan ini akan sulit untuk dapat dihadapi terutama saat mereka berada di dalam Lapas. Untuk menghadapi permasalahan tersebut, sangat bergantung pada tipe kepribadian, cognitive appraisal dan problem solving appraisal napi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara tipe kepribadian dengan problem solving appraisal, dan pengaruh mediasi cognitive appraisal dalam hubungan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tipe kepribadian dengan problem solving appraisal (0,082), dan tidak terjadi pengaruh cognitive appraisal sebagai variabel mediasi (1,68) pada narapidana korupsi di Lapas Sukamiskin Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa napi dengan tipe kepribadian ektrovert belum tentu menilai dirinya sebagai effective problem solvers. Sama halnya dengan napi tipe kepribadian introvert juga belum tentu menilai dirinya sebagai ineffective problem solvers. Dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan pihak Lapas dapat mengembangkan pelatihan-pelatihan, pembinaan atau pemberian jasa konseling bagi napi. Kata Kunci: tipe kepribadian, problem solving appraisal, dan cognitive appraisal, narapidana korupsi Every individual who entered prison as inmates will definitely experience a variety of problems and loss, such as loss of freedom, loss of control over life, loss of family, loss of goods and services, loss of security, loss of heterosexual relationships, and psychological disorders, no exception to corruption convicts. These problem will be difficult to be solved, especially when they are in prison. To deal with these problems, it depends on the type of personality, cognitive appraisal and problem solving appraisal of prisoners. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between personality type and problem solving appraisal, and the influence of cognitive appraisal mediation in that relationship. The method used in this study is the correlation methods with quantitative approaches. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant relationship between personality type and problem solving appraisal (0.082), and there is no influence of cognitive appraisal as mediating variables (1.68) on the corruption convicts of Sukamiskin Prison in Bandung. Based on these results it can be concluded that prisoners with ektrovert personality type are not necessarily consider themselves as effective problem solvers. Similarly, prisoners with introvert personality type are also not necessarily consider themselves as ineffective problem solvers. From the results of this study the prison officials are expected to develop the training, coaching or providing counseling services to prisoners.
