Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Cimahi yang dilihat dari nilai Ujian Nasional (UN) yang mengalami penurunan pada tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Siswa dengan rata-rata ulangan (UAS) semester ganjil pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas XI IPS tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 sebagian besar masih berada di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey eksplanatoryyaitu penelitian yang mengambil sampel dari suatu populasi dan menggunakan kuesioner atau angket sebagai alat pengumpul data. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri se-Kota Cimahi tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 771 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 263 responden menggunakan teknik Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa gambaran kompetensi guru ekonomi di SMA Negeri se-Kota Cimahi berada pada ketegori sangat tinggi. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukan bahwa kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan pengaruh sebesar 66% dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain diluar variabel. Dengan demikian semakin tinggi kompetensi yang dimiliki guru, maka hasil belajar akan meningkat. Peneliti merekomendasikan agar guru terus meningkatkan kompetensinya sehingga siswa dapat mencapai hasil belajar yang diharapkan. This research is motivated by the low of Senior High School student learning outcomes in Cimahi viewed from the National Examination, which has decreased in the school year 2012/2013. Students with an average of examination school (UAS) in first semester on economic subjects in class XI IPS 2013/2014 the school year mostly are still under minimum completeness criteria. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of teacher competence on learning outcomes on economic subjects. The research method used was a survey explanatorythat took a sample of a population and the use of a questionnaire as a data collection tool.. The population in this study was a class XI student of SMA IPS Cimahi throughout the school year 2013/2014, amounting to 771 students and a sample of 263 respondents using Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the competence of teachers inSenior High School in Cimahi are the very high category. Hypothesis test results showed that the teachers' competence positive influence on student learning outcomes with the effect is 66% and the remaining is influenced by other factors beyond the variables. If the competency of teacher is high, the learning outcomes will increase. Researchers recommend that teachers continue to improve their competence so that students can achieve their best learning outcomes.
