Abstract
The background problem in this study is whether there are differences in the influence of free throw shots foot position and the position of the foot is not aligned parallel to the scoring. This background, that his stance on free throw shooting during which the investigators observed, there are two attitudes stance during free throw shooting will do that with your feet with your feet parallel and not parallel, it is crucial to the achievement of the results of the scoring. This study used a descriptive method because it does not provide treatment or treatments to the sample, the population of the men's basketball team UPI Bandung. Sampling and purposive sampling with a sample of 10 people, the advice given coach men's basketball team UKM UPI bandung. Data collection tool used was an engineering test free throw by Johnson & Nelson with The reliability test 0.80 and validity face validity. The results of the data processing and statistical analysis were as follows: free throw by using his feet are not aligned better than the free throw with your feet parallel to the game of basketball. From the data of the test results obtained H0 is rejected, so that H1 is accepted because the count was in the area which means the rejection of H0 hypothesis is accepted. To get the good grades, should be at the free throw shot is recommended for coaches and athletes as well as sports teachers in schools in order to provide training to the position of the foot is not parallel to the more effective.
