    Abstract

    Penelitian ini berdasarkan pada rendahnya tingkat employee engagement di Perumda Tirtawening Kota Bandung. Diduga penyebabnya adalah tidak nyaman dengan lingkungan kerja yang belum optimal. Lingkungan kerja yang baik akan membuat karyawan nyaman untuk bekerja, sehingga akan berpengaruh pada employee engagement karyawan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan yang ingin dicapai melalui penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan kerja terhadap employee engagement di Perumda Tirtawening Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survey untuk memverifikasi pengaruh kedua variabel dengan menyebarkan angket kepada karyawan Perumda Tirtawening Kota Bandung, dengan jumlah responden 88 orang. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari lingkungan kerja terhadap employee engagement Perumda Tirtawening Kota Bandung. Koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa besarnya hubungan lingkungan kerja terhadap employee engagement sebesar 46,3%. Dengan ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa selain dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan kerja, employee engagement dipengaruhi faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebesar 53,7%. This research is based on the low level of employee engagement at Perumda Tirtawening, Bandung City. It is suspected that the cause is discomfort with a work environment that is not optimal. A good work environment will make employees comfortable to work, so that it will affect employee engagement. Therefore, the goal to be achieved through this research is to determine the effect of the work environment on employee engagement at Perumda Tirtawening, Bandung City. Survey research methods were used to verify the effect of the two variables by distributing questionnaires to employees of Perumda Tirtawening, Bandung City, with a total of 88 respondents. The data in this study were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of the work environment on employee engagement at Perumda Tirtawening Bandung City. The coefficient of determination shows that the relationship between work environment and employee engagement is 46.3%. With this result, it can be concluded that apart from being influenced by the work environment, employee engagement is influenced by other factors not examined in this study, namely 53.7%.
