abstract: Peserta didik tunarungu mengalami hambatan pendengaran yang mengakibatkan kesulitan untuk berkomunikasi. Membaca huruf hijaiyah merupakan langkah awal untuk bisa membaca Al-qur’an. Peserta didik tunarungu membutuhkan suatu pembelajaran khusus untuk mempermudah membaca huruf hijaiyah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penggunaan metode Al-barqy dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah. Metode penelitian yang gunakan adalah kuantitatif Singel Subjek Ressearch (SSR) dengan dsain A-B-A. Teknik pengumpulan data ini peneliti menggunakan Tes Kinerja. Intervensi dilaksanakan sebanyak 5 Sesi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan metode al-barqy mampu meningkatkan membaca huruf hijaiyah yang dibuktikan dengan presentase awal 57,1% dan presentase akhir 93,0% skor pada setiap baseline 1, Intervensi, dan Baseline 2 dibuktikan dengan kenaikan kemampuan membaca yaitu 35,9%. Dari hasil penelitian penggunaan Metode AL-Barqy dapat digunakan untuk belajar membaca huruf hijaiyah karena mimiliki kata Lembaga yang mirip dengan bunyi Bahasa Indonesia yang dapat digunakan ketika anak lupa.

Deaf students experience hearing impairments which result in difficulties in communicating. Reading hijaiyah letters is the first step to being able to read the Qur'an. Deaf students need a special lesson to make it easier to read hijaiyah letters. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of the Al-barqy method in improving the ability to read hijaiyah letters. The research method that the author uses is quantitative single subject research (SSR) with an A-B-A design. This data collection technique researchers use Performance Tests. The intervention was carried out in 5 sessions. The results showed that the use of the al-barqy method was able to increase the reading of hijaiyah letters as evidenced by the initial percentage of 57.1% and the final percentage of 93.0% scores for each baseline 1, Intervention, and Baseline 2 as evidenced by an increase in reading ability, namely 35.9 %. From the results of research using the AL-Barqy method can be used to learn to read hijaiyah letters because it has the word Institution which is similar to the sound of Indonesian which can be used when children forget.
