Mirisnya meskipun memiliki keanekaragaman hayati yang tinggi, masih banyak warga negara yang melakukan perusakan lingkungan, seperti perburuan liar yang menyebabkan banyaknya hewan-hewan endemik Indonesia yang terancam punah dan dilindungi negara. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, skripsi penciptaan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan ide dan gagasan serta menjelaskan visualisasi dan deskripsi estetis media edukasi berupa ensiklopedia hewan mamalia endemik Indonesia “Kenali dan Lindungi Aku” untuk anak usia 7-9 tahun. Metode yang digunakan yaitu design thinking. Dalam pembuatannya, penulis menggunakan data dan informasi yang bersumber dari internet, buku, peraturan pemerintah, dan peraturan menteri LHK. Buku ensiklopedia ini berisi informasi mengenai sepuluh hewan mamalia endemik, termasuk fakta, persebaran, ancaman, tingkat konservasi hewan, dan sebagainya. Ensiklopedia ini disajikan dengan gaya ilustrasi semi-realistis menggunakan teknik digital dan dicetak pada kertas art paper 210gsm berukuran B5 dengan jumlah 68 halaman. Tata letak yang digunakan pada buku ini yaitu full-bleed spread dengan menekankan warna analogus pada setiap tema hewan yang dibahas dan monokromatis pada pewarnaan objek satwa. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian berikutnya, diharapkan dapat membuat seri ensiklopedia hewan endemik Indonesia lainnya, seperti reptil dan amfibi dengan pembahasan yang lebih lengkap, namun memiliki bobot buku yang lebih ringan dan lebih ekonomis.\r\nThe diversity of flora and fauna in Indonesia makes this country the nickname Mega Biodiversity Country. Unfortunately, despite having high biodiversity, there are still many citizens who commit environmental destruction, such as poaching which causes the extinction of many endemic animals in Indonesia that are endangered and protected by the state. Based on these conditions, this creation thesis aims to develop ideas and explain the visualization-aesthetic description for educational media in the form of an encyclopedia of Indonesian endemic mammals \"Know and Protect Me\" for children aged 7-9 years. The method used is design thinking. In making it, the author uses data and information sourced from the internet, books, government regulations, and LHK ministerial regulations. This encyclopedia contains information about ten endemic mammals, including facts, distribution, threats, levels of animal conservation, and so on. The encyclopedia is presented in a semi-realistic illustration style using digital techniques and printed on 210gsm B5 art paper for 68 pages. The layout used in this book is a full-bleed spread, emphasizing analogous colors on each animal theme discussed and monochromatic coloring on animal objects. Recommendations for future research are expected to create an encyclopedia series of other Indonesian endemic animals, such as reptiles and amphibians with a more complete discussion, but have a lighter and more economical book weight."^^ .
