abstract: ABSTRACT



This paper is entitled “The Analysis of Translation on Language Styles Spoken by all characters in the Rohman Tasdik’s “Cinta Bersemi di Muaraberes”. The data were analysed by using Joos’ theory of language styles:  frozen, formal, consultative, casual, and intimate style. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method to collect and analyze the data. The researcher chooses 120 dialogues as the object of the research. This number was chosen in order to organize the data and count the data easily. The finding showed the language styles and the appropriate translation procedures in translating some dialogues in the novel. The researcher found that the most frequent language style is Consultative style. Literal is the most frequent procedures used in translating some dialogues in the novel.
