abstract: Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah kesiapan kerja yang cenderung menurun yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah motivasi kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi kerja dengan kesiapan kerja pada peserta didik SMK Mutiara Bandung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian survey design. Responden pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 40 peserta didik SMK Mutiara Bandung yang sedang atau telah melaksanakan PKL. Hasil penemuan ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja memiliki korelasi yang kuat dan positif terhadap kesiapan kerja, serta motivasi kerja memiliki hubungan yang kuat dan positif dengan persentase 42,6%. Berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut, maka hubungan antara motivasi kerja dengan kesiapan kerja berada pada kategori kuat, positif, dan signifikan.

The background of this research is that work readiness tends to decrease due to several factors, one of which is work motivation. This study aims to determine the relationship between work motivation and work readiness in Mutiara Bandung Vocational School students. This research is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach and survey design research type. Respondents in this study consisted of 40 students at SMK Mutiara Bandung who were or had implemented street vendors. The results of these findings indicate that work motivation has a strong and positive correlation with work readiness, and work motivation has a strong and positive relationship with a percentage of 42.6%. Based on these findings, the relationship between work motivation and work readiness is in the strong, positive, and significant category.
