Dalam praktiknya, penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif di mana teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan wawancara, angkat, tes, dan dokumentasi kepada 23 responden. Dengan memperhatikan temuan dan pembahasan, maka penelitian ini telah mampu membuktikan bahwa secara keseluruhan keterampilan siswa kelas IVA sudah memiliki keterampilan menulis dan menceritakan kembali cerita faktual. Baiknya keterampilan menulis dan menceritakan kembali cerita faktual tersebut ditunjukkan melalui hasil kerja siswa yang di mana mereka baik dalam menuliskan teks deskripsi maupun teks prosedur serta bagaimana mereka menceritakan kembali apa yang sudah mereka tulis di depan kelas dengan percaya diri dengan tetap memperhatikan indikator atau aspek dalam menceritakan kembali. Analisis teori-teori yang didukung oleh beberapa hasil penelitian memberikan wawasan yang luas dan mendalam bahwa keterampilan siswa dalam keterampilan menulis dan menceritakan kembali cerita faktual di samping harus memperhatikan pengaruh faktor internal siswa itu sendiri dan faktor eksternal dari lingkungan siswa dalam mengupayakannya melalui proses pembelajaran, guru juga harus melakukan inovasi-inovasi pembelajaran melalui penerapan metode, model, dan penggunaan media yang bervariasi dalam pembelajaran menulis dan menceritakan kembali cerita faktual agar keterampilan mereka dapat meningkat. This study aims to describe the skills of Grade IVA elementary school students in Garut Regency for the 2022/2023 school year in writing and retelling factual stories using the RADEC model. In practice, this research uses a qualitative descriptive method where the data collection technique uses interviews, appointments, tests, and documentation to 23 respondents. By taking into account the findings and discussion, this research has been able to prove that overall the skills of Grade IVA students already have the skills to write and retell factual stories. Both the skills of writing and retelling factual stories are demonstrated through student work where they are good at writing descriptive texts and procedural texts and how they retell what they have written in front of the class with confidence while still paying attention to indicators or aspects in retelling. .
