The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. The instrument used by the researcher was a written test to determine the students' ability to understand qira'ah. This research was conducted at MTs Al-Musyawarah Lembang with a total sample of 40 students. The results showed that: 1) Average pretest value of the experimental class was 60 and the control class was 67, with an average difference of 7. 2) Average posttest value of the experimental class was greater than the control class, which was 81 while the control class of 76, with an average difference of 5. 3) The results of Normalized Gain Score test showed there was an increase in average score of the experimental class students of 0.54 belonging to the medium category, while the increase in average value of control class was 0.28 which included into the low category.
