%X This study aims to determine the effect of parenting style on parenting self-efficacy in new parents. The sample make use of quantitative approach with a correlational method with 308  new parents aged 19-37 years. The sampling technique of this research is purposive sampling with certain criteria. The research instrument applies the adaptation of Baumrind's (1991) parenting style instruments and the Self-Efficacy for Parenting Tasks Index-Toddler Scale (SEPTI-TS). The data analysis technique uses dummy regression analysis techniques to determine the effect of parenting style based on four types (authoritative, authoritarian, permissive and rejected) on parenting self-efficacy. The results showed a significance value of α (> 0.05), which means that parenting style has no effect on parenting self-efficacy in new parents.
