abstract: The purpose of teaching is an important thing for teachers in determining the learning 
outcomes to be achieved. The teaching objectives also influence the teaching process 
which is considered to be helpful in achieving the stated goals. This study aimed to obtain 
an overview of the objectives and teaching process of physical education, sport and health 
subjects in MTs. Yamisa Soreang by using a descriptive exploratory study approach. Data 
collection methods that is used were structured interviews with the subject of a physical 
education, sport and health teacher. Data analysis was performed by data reduction, data 
display and data interpretation. The results of this study indicate that the goals to be 
achieved by the teacher emphasize the psychomotor skills of students and so students can 
be healthy and fit physically. In line with its objectives, the teaching process that occurs 
emphasizes the activeness of students to move as a whole. The organization of teaching 
carried out by the teacher is by identifying the characteristics of students and developing 
it through teaching. Implementation of learning evaluations for students 'cognitive and 
affective abilities, in addition apart from the process it also judges at the results of tests 
conducted by the teacher, while for students' affective abilities, teachers tend to only see 
students who are poised or easily remembered.
