This research is titled with “Students’ Mental Models on Reaction Rate Concept Using Two-Tier Multiple-Choice Diagnostic Test”. This research was designed to obtain students’ mental model on reaction rate concept using two-tier multiple-choice diagnostic test. The method that being used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The result shows that students’ mental models profile on reaction rate concept is dominated with 00 type. Student hasn’t been able to understand reaction rate concept in three levels of chemical representation. Several students’ difficulties in understanding reaction rate concept was found in this research, including students difficulties in understanding that reaction yields is different from reaction rate, students couldn’t understand the meaning of negative sign in rate of decomposition of reactant, students couldn’t relate reaction equation coefficients to reaction rate, and students assume that initial rate is zero because no reaction occurs at the beginning of reaction. date: 2020-08-26 date_type: published institution: Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia department: KODEPRODID0451#Pendidikan Kimia thesis_type: other thesis_name: other official_url: http://repository.upi.edu related_url_url: http://perpustakaan.upi.edu related_url_type: org citation: Else Nurfaliza Sari, - (2020) PROFIL MODEL MENTAL SISWA PADA KONSEP DASAR LAJU REAKSI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN TES DIAGNOSTIK MODEL MENTAL PILIHAN GANDA DUA TINGKAT.
