Bagi pemula, terutama siswa SMA, huruf hiragana mulai diperkenalkan. Salah satu solusi untuk menciptakan pembelajaran huruf hiragana yang menarik, adalah menggunakan media iPad. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media iPad terhadap hasil pembelajaran siswa. Sampel penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 orang yang dipilih secara random dan terbagi dalam 2 kelas, yaitu kelas X-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Kemudian, metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif korelatif. Dan instrumen penelitian yang digunakannya adalah pre-test dan post-test, serta angket. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa dikedua variabel tersebut. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya mean kelas eksperimen, yang awalnya 5,27 menjadi 9,07 dan diperkuat dengan hasil angket dimana seluruh siswa menyatakan media iPad perlu digunakan dalam pembelajaran yang lebih jauh, dan media iPad pun menjadi salah satu alternatif yang membantu siswa dalam mempelajari huruf hiragana. Keyword : iPad, hiragana Abstract Hiragana is the first step that must known by Japanese Learners, because it is the important aspect in Japanese first lessons. For beginners, the senior high school student exactly, hiragana are starts to introduce to them. One of the solution to create an interesting way in hiragana’s study, is by iPad. The goal of this research is to know the the influence of iPad to the student’s study results. The sample in this research was 30 randomized students and divided into 2 class, X-2 as experiment class, and X-5 as control class. Then, the method that used in this research was descriptive correlative. And the research’s instrument was pre-test and post-test, and also questionnaire. Based on the data, there were significance result are available between 2 variable. It proved by mean from experiment class were increased, from 5,27 into 9,07 and strength by questionnaire result where the students said that iPad needs to use into the continuity study process, and iPad also could be one of the solution that able to help the students in hiragana’s study.
