"Salah satu budaya yang harus kita lestarikan adalah sajak. Hal tersebut kemudian menjadi ide penciptaan karya seni tekstil dengan teknik patchwork. Penulis mengangkat sajak berbahasa Sunda yang berjudul Katumbiri karya Ajip Rosidi yang dijadikan sebagai inspirasi berkarya seni tekstil dengan teknik patchwork untuk busana wanita. Metode yang digunakan dalam penciptaan ini meliputi ide berkarya, pengumpulan data, dan proses penciptaan karya. Proses penciptaan karya itu sendiri meliputi perancangan, penyebaran kuesioner, pembuatan patchwork, pengaplikasian patchwork pada busana, dan finishing atau pengecekan ulang. Hasil akhir dari penciptaan ini adalah 4 buah mermaid dress dengan hiasan berupa patchwork pada masing-masing busana. Melalui karya ini, penulis ingin menyampaikan bahwa seni tekstil dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk memaknai sebuah sajak.\r\nKata kunci: Sajak Katumbiri, Seni Tekstil, Teknik Patchwork, Mermaid Dress.\r\nOne culture that we must preserve is poem. This then became the idea of creating textile artworks with patchwork techniques. The author uses Sundanese poem entitled Katumbiri by Ajip Rosidi, which is used as an inspiration for working in the art of textiles with patchwork techniques for women's clothing. The method used in this creation includes the idea of creating, collecting data, and creating the work. The process of creating the work itself includes designing, distributing questionnaires, making patchwork, applying patchwork to clothing, and finishing or re-checking. The final result of this creation is 4 pieces of mermaid dresses with patchwork decoration on each outfit.
