Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas III SD Negeri Kota Bandung, yang berjumlah 30 siswa, yang terdiri dari 15 orang laki-laki dan 15 orang perempuan. Objek penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Kecamatan Cicendo yang terletak di jalan Pasirkaliki Kota Bandung. Penelitian tindakan dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang pada tiap siklusnya terdapat empat komponen yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa pengamatan, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan model CIRC dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil tes jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM pada setiap siklus. Nilai rata-rata pada siklus I adalah 77,33 dengan ketuntasan 78,13% dan nilai rata-rata pada siklus II adalah 82,66 dengan ketuntasan 84% . Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model CIRC dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman.;This research triggered by reading skill understanding students class III in learning the Indonesian language on semester II are low and application of learning model that is conventional only uses the talk, this was apparent from value KKM students who below the value criteria minimum (KKM) including 75.
