abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kecanduan online game di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Baros Mandiri 4 Cimahi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode korelasional dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 197 responden yang bermain online game lebih dari 6 bulan. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner yang diberikan langsung oleh peneliti kepada siswa. Kuesioner terdiri dari skala pola asuh orang tua yang dibuat oleh Damayanti (2010) dan skala kecanduan online game yang diadaptasi dari Game Addiction Scale yang dibuat oleh Lemmens (2009). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik chi-square (koefisien kontingensi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kecanduan online game.,---This research aims to study the correlation between parenting styles and online game addiction in Baros Mandiri 4 Primary School Cimahi. This research employed quantitative approach with correlational method. The subject of this research amounted to 197 children, that are used online game for six months or longer. Data was collected by questionnaire using parenting styles instrument created by Damayanti (2010) and online game addiction instrument by Lemmens (2009). Analysis was carried out using the chi-square technique. The result showed that there is no correlation between parenting styles and online game addiction.
