Salah satu pendekatan yang dinilai dapat mendukung perkembangan psikologis tersebut adalah mentorship. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara mentorship dan growth mindset pada mahasiswa magang, dengan fokus khusus pada peran mediasi motivasi intrinsik dan work engagement. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional eksplanatori. Data dikumpulkan dari 256 mahasiswa magang di Indonesia menggunakan kuesioner daring dan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS (PROCESS Model 4 by Hayes) serta SmartPLS 4 untuk validasi model struktural. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara mentorship dan growth mindset, baik secara langsung maupun melalui motivasi intrinsik dan work engagement sebagai mediator. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pembentukan pola pikir berkembang pada mahasiswa magang tidak hanya bergantung pada dukungan eksternal, tetapi juga pada dinamika psikologis internal yang diperkuat oleh keterlibatan kerja. Implikasi praktis ditujukan bagi institusi pendidikan dan organisasi untuk merancang program magang yang menekankan kualitas mentoring dan pemberdayaan mahasiswa. Internship students face significant challenges during their transition to the professional world, requiring mental preparedness, internal motivation, and active engagement. One approach considered supportive in this psychological development is mentorship. This study aims to examine the relationship between mentorship and growth mindset among internship students, with a specific focus on the mediating roles of intrinsic motivation and work engagement. A quantitative approach with an explanatory correlational design was employed. Data were collected from 256 internship students in Indonesia using an online questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS (PROCESS Model 4 by Hayes) and SmartPLS 4 for structural model validation. The results indicate a significant and positive relationship between mentorship and growth mindset, both directly and indirectly through intrinsic motivation and work engagement as mediators. These findings suggest that the development of a growth mindset among internship students is not solely shaped by external support but also by internal psychological dynamics strengthened through active work engagement.
