Analisis kebutuhan pelatihan juga merupakan upaya yang dilakukan pihak lembaga untuk menghasilkan pelatihan yang berkualitas, meskipun tidak jarang analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan tidak koheren dengan proses pelatihan. Melalui penelitian ini, dirumuskan tujuan penelitian, yaitu; (1) mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan analisis kebutuhan pelatihan yang diselenggarakan oleh BPVP Bandung Barat, dan (2) mendeskripsikan relevansi hasil analisis kebutuhan pelatihan dengan kualitas pelatihan barista di BPVP Bandung Barat. Peneliti menggunakan pendekataan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa; (1) analisis kebutuhan pelatihan dilakukan dengan dua cara, yaitu analisis terhadap kebutuhan pelatihan secara luas dengan memperhatikan potensi di dunia industri juga dunia kerja dan analisis kebutuhan belajar terhadap peserta pelatihan yang dilakukan melalui pemetaan kompetensi peserta sebelum mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan; (2) hasil analisis kebutuhan dimanfaatkan dalam proses pelatihan terutama dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan saling membelajarkan (learning exchange) di antara peserta pelatihan. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi lembaga pelatihan lainnya dalam menyelenggarakan pelatihan yang lebih baik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pelatihan. The training analysis needs is the first step in implementing the barista program at BPVP West Bandung. Training needs analysis is also an effort made by the institution to produce quality training, although it is not uncommon for the needs analysis to be carried out incoherent with the training process. Through this research, the objectives of the research were formulated; (1) to describe the implementation of the training needs analysis organized by BPVP West Bandung, and (2) describe the relevance of the results of the training needs analysis to the quality of barista training at BPVP West Bandung. The researcher uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected using interview, observation, and documentation methods. The results of the study found that; (1) The analysis of training needs is carried out in two ways, namely the analysis of training needs in general by paying attention to the potential in the industrial world as well as the world of work and the analysis of learning needs of trainees which is carried out through mapping the competencies of participants before participating in training activities; (2) The results of the needs analysis are used in the training process, especially in the learning process by using a learning exchange approach among the trainees.
