Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mewujudkan busana pesta sebagai bagian dari \r\nkontemporer yang disesuaikan dengan modernitas zaman melalui penerapan teknik \r\ncorded tucks dengan legenda kizkumu sebagai sumber idenya dan menggunakan \r\nmetode ATUMICS. Metode ATUMICS digunakan sebagai penuntun desainer \r\ndalam menjelaskan sumber ide secara tertata setiap elemennya meliputi level mikro \r\nyaitu artefact, technique, utility, material, icon, concept dan shape juga level \r\nmakro. Pada prosesnya ditemukan bahwa elemen tradisi dan modern saling \r\nmenginspirasi sehingga membantu desainer dalam penentuan setiap elemen. Hasil \r\ndari penelitian ini berupa busana pesta dengan sumber ide Legenda Kizkumu yang \r\ntetap mengangkat elemen tradisinya meliputi Icon, Concept, Shape dan perpaduan \r\nUtility yang kemudian disajikan dalam bentuk pameran di Asia Fahion Show. \r\n\r\nThe demand for designers' creativity in exploring ideas is in line with the challenges \r\nin the process of making modern and luxurious high-class lifestyle party dress. \r\nHowever, taking inspiration from tradition in the form of the legend of Kızkumu \r\nraises the question of processing traditional sources of ideas so that they can be \r\nrealized into contemporary party dress without eliminating traditional values. This \r\nresearch aims to realize a party dress as a part of contemporary that is adjusted to \r\nthe modernity of the times through the application of corded tucks technique with \r\nthe legend of Kızkumu as the source of idea and using the ATUMICS method. The \r\nATUMICS method was used as a designer's guide in explaining the source of ideas \r\nin an organized manner for each element including the micro level, namely artefact, \r\ntechnique, utility, material, icon, concept and shape as well as the macro level. In \r\nthe process, it was found that traditional and modern elements inspired each other \r\nso that it helped the designer in determining each element.
