Hal tersebut terjadi karena siswa kesulitan memahami informasi yang tersurat dan tersirat dari bacaan cerita fiksi. Selain itu, terbatasnya metode pembelajaran yang efektif serta penggunaan media yang kurang inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penerapan Model REAP berbantuan situs SIBI dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman cerita fiksi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 29 Bandung. Penulis memilih model REAP dikarenakan sintak dalam model ini dapat membantu siswa dalam proses memahami isi bacaan secara mendalam, serta media yang digunakan yaitu situs SIBI dapat memberikan akses lebih luas dan mempermudah interaksi siswa dengan materi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group desain. Populasi yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 29 Bandung dengan sampel kelas VIII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII G sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen tes yang berupa pretest dan postest, serta observasi dan angket. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman cerita fiksi antara kelas eksperimen yang mendapat perlakuan model REAP dengan kelas kontrol. Perolehan nilai rata-rata pretest di kelas eksperimen 75,53 meningkat menjadi 83,13 pada nilai postest. Hasil uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikasi {\ensuremath{<}} 0,001 lebih kecil dari 0,05 maka, Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai rata-rata kemampuan membaca pemahaman cerita fiksi sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model REAP berbantuan situs SIBI terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman cerita fiksi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 29 Bandung. This research si motivated by the low reading ability of students in understanding the contents of fictional stories. This occurs because students have difficulty understanding explicit and implicit information from fictional stories. In addition, effective learning methods are limited and the use of media is less innovative. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the REAP Model assisted by the SIBI website in learning to read fictional stories comprehension of grade VIII students of SMPN 29 Bandung. The author chose the REAP model because the syntax in this model can help students in the process of understanding the contents of the reading in depth, and the media used, namely the SIBI website, can provide wider access and facilitate student interaction with learning materials. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The population used was the eighth grade students of SMPN 29 Bandung with a sample of class VIII C as the experimental class and class VIII G as the control class. Data collection used test instruments in the form of pretest and posttest, as well as observation and questionnaires. The research findings showed that there was a significant difference in the ability to read comprehension of fictional stories between the experimental class that received the REAP model treatment and the control class. The average pretest score in the experimental class was 75.53, increasing to 83.13 in the posttest score. The results of the independent sample t-test showed a significance value {\ensuremath{<}}0.001, smaller than 0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that there was a significant difference between the average value of the ability to read comprehension of fictional stories before and after treatment.
