Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan gambaran emotional blackmail pada peserta didik kelas X SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung dan merancang program bimbingan pribadi sosial sebagai implikasi yang dapat diterapkan di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan desain cross-sectional survey. Partisipan penelitian sebanyak 301 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen yang dikembangkan berdasarkan teori Forward (1997) berisi 43 butir item. Hasil penelitian secara umum menunjukkan bahwa 1) emotional blackmail yang dialami peserta didik kelas X sebagian besar berada pada kategori sedang 2) sumber emotional blackmail meliputi keluarga, teman sebaya, pasangan, guru, dan lingkungan sosial 3) emotional blackmail muncul dalam bentuk tekanan emosional atau ancaman terselubung. Hasil penelitian ini menjadi dasar penyusunan program bimbingan pribadi sosial yang bertujuan untuk mengatasi emotional blackmail melalui pengembangan kemampuan asertif yang berfokus pada upaya preventif. Adolescence is a crucial stage for developing emotional independence, yet it can be hindered by emotional blackmail—an emotional manipulation that pressures individuals to fulfill others’ demands. This study aims to describe the phenomenon of emotional blackmail in 10th-grade students at SMA Pasundan 2 Bandung and to design a personal-social guidance program as a practical implication for schools. A quantitative approach with a descriptive method and cross-sectional survey design was employed, involving 301 participants. The instrument was developed based on Forward’s (1997) theory and consisted of 43 items. The results of the study generally show that 1) the emotional blackmail experienced by tenth-grade students is mostly in the moderate category 2) sources of emotional blackmail include family, peers, romantic partners, teachers, and the social environment 3) emotional blackmail manifests in the form of emotional pressure or covert threats.
