Kesalahan dalam penggunaan joshi dapat menyebabkan tidak jelasan makna dalam kalimat. Namun, pada materi ajar Irodori Seikatsu no Nihongo A1, aspek tata bahasa termasuk pembelajaran joshi yang tidak menjadi fokus utama, melainkan lebih menekankan pada kemampuan lisan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi joshi dalam bunpou nooto, (2) mendeskripsikan penjelasan dan penggunaan joshi dalam bunpou nooto di materi ajar Irodori A1, dan (3) menganalisis fungsi joshi dalam kalimat berdasarkan konteks penggunaannya pada materi ajar Irodori A1. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur. Objek penelitian berupa bentuk dan fungsi joshi yang terdapat dalam kalimat pada bagian bunpou nooto buku ajar Irodori A1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat berbagai variasi joshi yakni, ????????????????????????????dan ?? yang memiliki fungsi joshi mencapai 44 joshi dan setiap joshinya muncul 701 joshi. Di sini penggunaan joshi yang memiliki frekuensi tertinggi adalah joshi ?. Hal tersebut menunjukkan keberagaman variasi joshi yang ada pada bunpou nooto materi ajar Irodori A1. Penjelasan joshi pada bunpou nooto dilakukan secara sintaksis dengan menjelaskan fungsi joshi tersebut secara deskriptif serta menjelaskan cara penggunaan joshi dalam sebuah kalimat yang memudahkan pembelajaran materi ajar Irodori A1. Kemudian, terdapat 20 bagian fungsi joshi pada bunpou nooto yang dapat digunakan sebagai strategi belajar untuk menggunakan materi ajar Irodori A1 ini. Understanding Japanese grammar, which includes particles (joshi), is essential for language learning, as joshi play a key role in forming sentence structures that determine the meaning and comprehension of utterances. Misuse of joshi can result in unclear sentence meaning. However, in the Irodori Seikatsu no Nihongo A1 teaching material, grammar-including joshi learning-is not the main focus, as the material emphasizes speaking skills. This study aims to: (1) identify joshi in the bunpou nooto section, (2) describe the explanations and usage of joshi in the bunpou nooto of the Irodori A1 teaching material, and (3) analyze the functions of joshi in sentences based on their contextual use in the Irodori A1 teaching material. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with literature study as the data collection technique. The research object consists of the forms and functions of joshi found in sentences in the bunpou nooto section of the Irodori A1 textbook. The findings reveal various joshi, namely ?, ?, ?, ?, ??, ??, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, and ??, which have a total of 44 identified functions and appear 701 times in total. Among them, the joshi ? has the highest frequency of occurrence. This indicates the diversity of particle (joshi) variations found in the bunpou nooto of the Irodori A1 teaching material. The explanation of particles in the bunpou nooto is conducted syntactically by describing their functions in detail and explaining how to use them in sentences, which facilitates the learning of Irodori A1 teaching material.
