Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 28 murid. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi angket keaktifan dan lembar observasi, yang selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan bantuan SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor keaktifan murid pada siklus I adalah 52,18 dengan persentase 69,57%, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 56,46 dengan persentase 75,29%. Observasi juga memperlihatkan peningkatan capaian indikator dari rata-rata 76% pada siklus I menjadi 85% pada siklus II. Uji normalitas Shapiro–Wilk menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal, sehingga dilanjutkan dengan uji Paired Sample t-Test. Hasil uji t memperlihatkan nilai signifikansi 0,005 (<0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keaktifan murid pada siklus I dan siklus II. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Discovery Learning berpengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan murid pada mata pelajaran Teknik Kendaraan Ringan. Meskipun target peningkatan sebesar 80% belum sepenuhnya tercapai, hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran tersebut layak diterapkan dan dikembangkan pada proses pembelajaran di kelas. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Discovery Learning model in improving student activeness in the Light Vehicle Engineering subject for grade XI at SMKN 8 Bandung. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants were 28 students. Data were collected through an activeness questionnaire and observation sheets, then analyzed using SPSS version 26. The results indicate that the average score of student activeness in the first cycle was 52.18 with a percentage of 69.57%, while in the second cycle it increased to 56.46 with a percentage of 75.29%. Observational data also showed an increase in indicator achievement, from an average of 76% in the first cycle to 85% in the second cycle. The Shapiro–Wilk normality test confirmed that the data were normally distributed, allowing the analysis to proceed with the Paired Sample t-Test. The t-test result revealed a significance value of 0.005 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference in student activeness between the first and second cycles. In conclusion, the application of Discovery Learning positively influences the improvement of student activeness in the Light Vehicle Engineering subject.
